"Fake Sam" and Barrett were entertaining and very informative in regards to fudge making. (They are probably informative in other areas of life, but we didn't get into much more discussion... Even though we showed up at Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen several times during our weekend away.) The fudge itself was amazing and we had a very hard time deciding which flavors to get. It's also reasonably priced, so picking up some for your house sitter, dog watcher, neighbor, or garbage man are all feasible ideas! Sorry Sam & Barrett, but we will absolutely be back!

Oh, the smell of fresh fudge was so enticing that it drew customers in the store! And to watch the fudge being made on a marble slab was very mesmerizing. The Frankenmuth Fudge Kitchen was booming with visitors entering the store. Free samples were given out to entice customers to taste the goodness and freshness to buy. And buying fudge was what the customers did! There were many options, flavors, and deals. Choices, choices, choices! When in Frankenmuth, this is a must visit, even if it is just for a free sample!

High quality and traditional fudge, not easy to come by now a days! This place is exactly as I remember it, the fudge is top tier. I grew up in Michigan and moved out west and I am usually not impressed with fudge unless it comes from Michigan… maybe I am a little biased or maybe the dairy and ingredients are just better. I had sampled a seasonal flavor, but it was the old traditional flavors that I ended up buying. I might have to get some shipped out west for the holidays this year!

Tues. Sept. 26, 2023, around 1:00pm…I entered the shop and saw the fudge on the left and went to the glass display to look at the flavours. I saw what I wanted and waited. I knew the light reddish haired young sales lady shorter than the other lady saw me. The other lady was serving someone else. I waited and waited and finally said excuse me could you please help me? She looked my way and said nothing. I finally walked to where she was and asked if I could buy the fudge I had selected. She said this is the same fudge here. I apologized and she rolled her eyes? I felt she was very rude as she should have walked over and let me know that this was the area where fudge was cut rather than just ignore me. But I remained friendly even though she was curt. I ordered 3 pieces of fudge and she was putting them in a box. Then the sales lady next to her serving someone else kindly told me I could get a free one. I hadn’t been told that so I decided to order a peanut butter one but the one I was looking at nearest me, closest to the glass had visible peanuts in it. I asked her if I could buy one without peanuts in it as my granddaughter has braces and can’t have nuts or peanuts. She appeared annoyed and said these do not have nuts in them. She was cutting from the same row that I could clearly see the whole peanuts in at the end of that row. I told her this and she just asked, do you want it or not? I said if you assure me it is without peanuts yes. I couldn’t believe how unfriendly she was. I ordered 4 more of other kinds and thanked her. I handed her cash and she was leaning over the fudge her hair was over top but not touching fudge so I just left it at that. I left my change for a tip there was no smile or thank you.

Today Wednesday Sept 27th, I gave my granddaughter a piece of that fudge.i took it out of the box and unwrapped it. I cut small cubes because of her braces and found 2 peanuts. I took them out. Further I noticed a long reddish hair stuck to the fudge underneath and after that couldn’t eat the fudge at all. I ended up giving my granddaughter a piece of the mint chocolate one.

To the store, I did not appreciate the unfriendly sales person. I feel you should know. The guy working on the chocolate mint fudge on the table and the other sales lady were wonderful and friendly. I tried one fudge and it tasted very good, one was very soft and I didn’t enjoy it at all. Your fudge has always been great with friendly service. I wasn’t going to write this review but because of the hair I decided to communicate my disappointment. Friendliness and service...

Gosh - I really can't believe this place has such good reviews.

Their service is terrible, in such a way that they clearly don't care about their customers and all customer service interactions are purely for the betterment of their marketing efforts.

I placed a fudge order gift for my Mom's Birthday on 12/11. On 12/21, I got an email from Frankenmuth that the order had been delivered. On 12/30, I received another email from Frankenmuth asking how the product was enjoyed.

On 1/10, the product was actually delivered.

So, the first email was just a complete lie about the delivery, and the second email doubled down on that lie to try to convince me that the gift for my Mom was delivered by pretending to care about the quality of a gift they took money for and merely pretended to provide.

Who goes that far to lie to a total stranger about a fairly cheap gift of fudge for their Mother? I can think of only one answer: Sociopaths.

UPDATE: I wanted to provide an update on my review, having shared the issue with their customer service last night and received a reply today.

Their customer service agent denied any responsibility and blamed the issue entirely on UPS. Franknemuth had no interest in taking responsibility for taking over a month to deliver a simple order.

Any sales operation with integrity understands that the foundation of sales is the establishment of relationships. You build trust. You ensure your community understands the quality of your products, and enjoy the fruits of the labors moving forward.

Frankenmuth is an organization that takes advantage of online restrictions to steal peoples' money, provide terrible product and service, and enjoy the Harold Hill anonymity to avoid any responsibility.

Just to finish - one of the things I find most sad about this is the increasing occurrence of such interactions in American society. It certainly seems like Frankenmuth, along with many other corporate entities, are taking advantage of unfortunate social changes in recent years to, essentially, steal from their customers.

If you are a potential consumer reading this review, I hope you will seek out your local fudge producers as they are, not perfect, but likely the best hope to circumvent corporate dishonesty of the sort you can expect from...

I ordered on Thursday. Friday I received an email from UPS saying it would be delivered on Sunday. Saturday I received an email saying that due to severe weather it would be delivered Monday. Sunday I received an email saying it would be delivered Wednesday. Monday I received an email saying that USPS would complete the delivery and that the package left the UPS Ypsilanti location at 4:49 AM Monday. Tuesday I checked the USPS website and it said the package was received by USPS at 7:03 AM on Tuesday. I was concerned about why it took 26 hours to travel about 3 miles. When I contacted UPS they wouldn't even talk to me and hung up the phone. When I contacted your customer service representative, she made a lame excuse saying the delay may have been due to the weather. She was not the least bit concerned about my package taking 26 hours to go 3 miles. When we opened the box on Friday there was an odd smell and the fudge was extremely soggy. The box was dry. But I am very concerned about what happened to the fudge during the 26 hours it was on the UPS truck. My friends had never tried Frankenmuth Fudge but will never try it. I know the 26 hours aren't your fault. But the total lack of concern by your customer service representative is unacceptable. Your lame excuse defending UPS taking 26 hours to deliver the package about 3 miles is unacceptable. One person from your customer service admitted that you should have been more concerned about the issues. The only resolution is a refund. The fudge smelled terrible and was soaking wet. Your attitude is appalling!!!!!! They don't care that I received a box of nasty smelling fudge because it was soaking wet. Don't order from these unprofessional,...
