I hate this place. Hate it.
But my husband really liked the nachos (which, we just found out they changed- to use cheese sauce, instead of cheese) and beer, so I suck it up and go every once in a while. And every damn time, I tell him I hate it and that he'll have to find another hot date to go with.
In general, the hot food comes cold and the cold food comes warm. I always leave, unhappy and nauseated.
Today, we went, about 7pm. It was Saturday, we expected to wait. We were told 20-30 minutes. And that they would text us when our table was ready. Neither of us has our phones. We intentionally left them in the truck so that we could disconnect. Fine. Whatever. We had time to go get one. 55 minutes later, my husband walks back in to check on the time. He said, by the look on the woman's face, they had definitely forgotten us. Sweet. An hour wait, with 3 little kids is great.
So we finally get our table (they no longer have booths, either, so there's that.) I head to the bathroom. Only, they're no toilet paper. The lady next to me was frantically searching for some, too. Neat. I love sitting in wet undies. The soap container, that's supposed to be in a wall dispenser, was just sitting on the counter. And the paper towels in the garbage were completely over flowing.
I ordered the only thing on the menu that I can normally stomach, the nacho, only to find that they use cheese sauce (what is this, a baseball field?) and the chips were seasoned and spicy as hell. Nasty. When my food came, my drink was empty. When she came back to check on us, my drink was empty. When I ordered the margarita pizza as a substitute, and it came, my drink was still empty. It wasn't until I was done eating that she asked if I wanted a refill... Though she has asked my husband if he wanted another beer, twice.
While we were eating, we observed a busser, bussing and scraping dishes at the next table. But, there were still people sitting there. He was clearing it like there was no one there.
It was all a really odd, and, sadly not unexpected experience. I won't go back. Not even if my husband begs. Though, I think he's with me after...
Read moreVisited Frankenmuth Brewery this afternoon with my family, for what should have been a nice meal. Unfortunately found some hair on the sandwich (regret not taking a pic as proof) I ordered. Pointed it out to server who apologized and said he’d let his manager know. I decided to order something else instead. After a long wait, whole table finished their food by then, food finally arrived. Waiter did again apologize but also said again he didn’t know how it got there. Okay well I wasn’t me, serves me no purpose since I wanted my meal and ordered another which ended up not being worth the wait at all. Server brought bill, I asked about the manager who never came by to check on us or apologize at all. I can excuse that things happen, it’s human, but to not acknowledge a customer situation is unprofessional and speaks ill of the establishment. But it gets better at that point I was agitated, I didn’t ask for discounts or for bill to be comped at all, basic customer service expectation that’s it so…I asked to speak to the manager, who finally showed up in his Lions sweatshirt and ball cap and said , “yeah?” (WOW) When I proceeded to ask why he didn’t bother to stop and at least apologize/acknowledge…his response? “We don’t have anyone with hair like that“. Im sorry, are you suggesting I put it there? Mgr - “I didn't say that” and walked away.” Well, ummmm sounds like it.
UNPROFESSIONAL INDEED. That manager couldn’t have looked more bothered to be called over to us if his sweatshirt had “PissOff” written in bold caps on it.
I’m shocked that the ownership of long standing staple in the Frankenmuth community would allow their establishment to be managed by someone who clearly isn’t interested in ensuring their customers have great...
Read moreWe usually have decent experiences here, however today not so much, and to the point we won't be coming back. I brought my mother and her friend for my mother's birthday lunch after a good day around town. We were told it was a 20 minute wait for inside, 25 minutes for outside. Considering the difference, we opted for the five minutes extra to sit outside. However, we were the ONLY ones waiting and the three men that came in directly after us were seated immediately. Then, THREE more tables within maybe 10 minutes of our arrival. Finally the ladies were seated (while I decided to go grab the car so they didn't have to walk far when we left). Okay, whatever, half hour later we finally had a table. We waited for about fifteen minutes for the server to come, then everyone ordered their drinks and their food at the same time. And then everyone got their food and drinks, except me. I ordered a glass of wine, but when I was almost done with my meal she comes and tells me that they are out of that wine. She offered a another option, but then 15 minutes later came back and told me that wasn't available either. I told her nevermind, as I finished with my meal, and she said she was leaving. I went out to my car and got my own drink, so at least I had something to drink other than their disgusting water. We requested our bill and then it took yet another half hour to get the bill. 2.5 hours later- had to wait forever for a table, no drink, and I won't be back. It is hard to find good food in this town, and FB is now off the list. Prost has my future business. Their service is always excellent,...
