Review #2: We had lunch here again and the food was fantastic! We had Asher as a server and he was phenomenal. I told him about my bad birthday yesterday and he gave me a surprise of chocolate and wine. That was so nice of him! I love this place!
Review #1: We ate dinner at Prost Wine Bar & Charcuterie on Tuesday, August 2 as I read high reviews about this restaurant and I had not been here before. The wait to get into the restaurant was about a half an hour and we were seated outside. There was a nice ambiance with twinkle lights, decor and music playing in a rustic but contemporary atmosphere. We were seated under the mushroom looking tree in the back of the restaurant. The server was friendly, fast and helpful. I ordered bread and oil and vinegar as an appetizer as my friends both ordered the Italian Charcuterie boards. One board would have been sufficient for my two friends as they had eaten pizza earlier in the day at T. Dubs Pizzaria across the street. I ordered Spicy avocado BLT minus the bacon and a coke. My meal came to $25.44. I left $31 in total. This means that my Diet Coke was $3 or so. The Diet Coke came in a very slender glass which seemed like an alcoholic beverage would be served in that type of container. The panini was hot and very tasty. I would recommend ordering the spicy cherry pepper spread on the side as I think it was secured from the hottest surface on the sun. Since my friends were in from Canada, I got to take their remaining food home. It will be enough for a few meals. The crusty bread was excellent! I would definitely recommend eating here as the food was great, the service was fast, the food wasn’t overly priced and it made for a...
Read moreMy sister and I came last year to Prost on a trip to Frankenmuth and we fell in love. So much so that I raved about Prost on all of my social media. Our first experience, they had a ton of fun holiday drinks - our server was attentive and polite and we built our own board. We loved it so much that we wanted to bring our family back on our trip yesterday. Upon arriving to Prost, the host ( Trinity) was not polite, welcoming or respectful in how she communicated to us / multiple other families that were requesting a table. She seemed uninterested in giving proper customer service. We patiently waited for our table and explored Frankenmuth. Once we got sat, our server was Mackenzie. She was polite in how she served us but would randomly go missing for lengths of time. We understand things take time when busy but every time we would request something it took over 20 minutes to get ( simple requests like bread + butter - even soup). The soup took so long to get ( this was towards the end of our meal) that 2 minutes after while I was still eating said soup, she came up and asked if we wanted our checks. It felt rushed and impolite / proper for a dinning experience. We have no issue paying good money but in return we expect good service. We sat next to the host station, and I have to compliment Nick. Once Trinity left, Nick took over - it was professional, polite and helpful in how he spoke / communicated with the customers coming into Prost. Due to this experience, I will most likely not wait 2 hours again...
Read moreAre you looking for a safe, cozy spot to dine and warm up after shopping all day in Frankenmuth? This is your spot! My first visit to Prost was magical!
The staff that greeted us was very friendly and informative. We were given the choice of the tiny heated hut for a more private experience, or the fire bar. There wasn't a wait when we visited since it was a Tuesday afternoon, but the website makes it easy to join and see the waitlist live if you're visiting a busier time which is very convenient.
Our server Abby was eager to help us out and super sweet! I'm often disappointed by poor wine presentation when ordering a bottle, but Abby nailed it! She was also able to give us a few recommendations for our charcuterie board. Some of the options are locally made in Frankenmuth which is awesome. Abby recommended the Port Wine Derby which turned out to be our favorite.
The outdoor tented area is decorated in greenery and pretty twinkle lights and there were candles for every table. The fire bar was extremely cozy, even without a coat.
I could also peep the service bar from where we were seated and the gentleman behind the bar knows how to shake a drink!! I was extremely tempted to order one of his cocktails, and I would have if we didn't have a bottle in front of us already!
It was my birthday and I really wasn't expecting much this year mid shutdown. Prost made my simple day into something memorable, and I'm very grateful. We will be returning customers for sure. ...
