It's not a large museum, but it's quite interesting, spanning the history of Frankenmuth from its founding in the 1800s to today. It also includes a number of hands-on exhibits that are especially good for kids (but are interesting no matter what age you are!). The price is also extremely reasonable (which makes sense given its small size): $2 for adults, $1 for children and students.
The final room of the museum holds special exhibits that are usually advertised outside, and the gift shop has a wide selection of interesting gifts too, many of which are local or at least from Michigan.
It's a short tour for a low cost, and is a fun way to spend a bit of time while you're walking around Frankenmuth. I've visited a few times and enjoy it every time!

The second course is a variety of 4 different salads, followed by a platter some of the best fried chicken you will have. Add in dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, home made noodles in butter, and vegetables, and you can be sure you won't walk away hungry. Everything is served family style so you can take as much or as little as you want. Our server was excellent, and happy to bring refills of everything if needed. We didn't! Definitely come on in, and bring...
Read moreThis Museum was one of the best historical museums I have been to! From the moment I walked in the people were very welcoming and friendly. Unlike other Museums you do not need to purchase tickets ahead of time. A few of my favorited things I thought was cool was the different portraits explaining what was going on back in the day, the pictures telling the stories of the first German immigrants in MI, and the different exhibits. The gift shop had very reasonable prices, me and my boyfriend ended up leaving with mugs and hats. I definitely recommend this place for...
