Kern's Sausages — Attraction in City of Frankenmuth

Kern's Sausage is in Frankenmuth Michigan my girl told me about it 25 years ago and we still drive up there from Kinsman Ohio just to buy their wonderful products. Her favorite is Lund Jaeger (Hunter's sausage) but I have tried many other meats that they mix and blend there including their knockwurst their wedding weiners, polish sausage , bologna And I can't remember all the other things we packed in the cooler and brought home this last month and where ecstatic from each and every try. I don't much like to go to Michigan but that is a testament to how good this Kern's is. For beer drinkers that like imported beer I have never seen the brands that Kearns carries anywhere in Ohio, which is another reason to go if you like beer and sausage. Whenever we visit Frankenmuth we look forward to visiting Kern's Sausages and have been doing so for years. I must say though, their incredible selection of gourmet goodies just keeps getting more interesting -- and yummy! Their sausage is absolutely authentic and out of this world. The skinless Bratwurst being our most favorite of many delicious offerings. But, while there, take the time to peruse the items not only in the display case but on the shelves as well. Thy have a fabulous selection of German imports like mustards and sauerkraut, beer you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else, wines and cheeses , crackers. This place is loads of fun to visit! Quality Meats but they lost their customer service over the years. You walk in and its quiet with No greeting or "Hello, how are you today". The young boy that waited on me didn't know what Bologna salad was, he had to ask someone. I've been going here since the 1970's and it's in No way the same friendly establishment that it once was.
