I went to get bubble tea here, and the service was, well it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had but it wasn’t good. There were two registers and about three employees. There was also dippin dots there and my sister and I were excited because they only sell dippin dots at the weirdest places like the zoo, or something. (We all know it’s true). We get in there and put the dippin dots down on the counter, at the register on the right, and we wait for like 7 minutes. Even though the employees were right in front of us. Now there were two customers who were waiting for their order. So I figured once they were done preparing the bubble tea, they’d come and help us. Well, the two customers get their drinks, and we wait another minute. And I should mention these employees won’t even look at me. Like I’ve done something horrible. All I did was put the item I wanted to purchase on the counter and wait patiently. Finally I realized I was at the wrong register. So I walk up to the register on the left and suddenly they start talking to me as if that whole awkward encounter never happened. Buddy, a simple “You’re at the wrong register” would have been real nice. I felt like an idiot, which to be honest I kinda am for waiting that long. But in my defense there were two registers I thought they were going to help after they helped the other two customers and I had the item I wanted on the counter. So it should have been obvious that we were trying to pay for it. I left there feeling like a total loser, and by the time they helped me my dippin dots had melted. I’m still upset about this because all they had to do was talk to me. They made me feel very unwelcome. If I had one thing to say to them it’d be “If you don’t like talking to people you really shouldn’t be working in customer service.” The bubble tea was decent, but I definitely won’t be going back there. It was...
Read moreI have never been a fan of pasties because every single one I have ever tried has had mushy veggies in it and I cannot stand overcooked vegetables.
I have been trying to incorporate a lot of Keto foods into my diet and a friend suggested that I try Keto pasties from Pasty Haus. My initial thought was no thanks, but I decided to check them out and I am so happy I did! They are absolutely amazing! The Keto ones that I have tried so far have been chicken and cheese burger.
I have also tried the cheesy potato, vegan chick'n and vegan spinach & artichoke pasties.
Sometimes vegan chick'n can be rubbery and gross. That was definitely not the case with the Vegan chick'n pasty. Had I not know that it wasn't real chicken, I never would have guessed that it wasn't. It was totally on point.
My favorite part about all of them is that the filling isn't the consistency of something that cooked for two solid days in a crock pot.
I typically purchase several at time and take them to work for my lunches. I let them thaw for a few hours and then pop them in the toaster oven in the lunchroom. They are pretty big so, after they're done baking, I cut them in half and add fresh veggies or fruit for a side. For me, one pasty provides 2 hot, hearty and delicious lunches.
Pasty Haus isn't limited to pasties. They also have a HUGE variety of different teas and several different flavor bases, bubbles and jellies. I took the picture of my bubble tea while we were at the arcade, because that's the first place we sat down after I bought it. Pasty Haus doesn't serve regular pizza. I thought I'd throw that out there since there's a pizza menu in the background of my photo.
I definitely recommend giving Pasty Haus a shot. They do ship which means that you can give them a try, even if you aren't local to the Frankenmuth,...
Read moreWhen there is a large event going on in the area you expect staff to be a bit frazzled. In the case of the Pasty Haus in Frankenmuth, although there were 3 employees, I was simply ignored. When I visited the Pasty Haus during the Annual Dog Bowl on Saturday May 27, I was the 3rd person in line to be served. Other customers were about but already had their orders fulfilled. I remained behind the 2 customers ahead of me waiting patiently and even holding a light conversation with my fellow patrons. Once I got to the counter, the employee taking orders looked straight at me and kindly said she would be right with me. She walked away as a family with 4 kids came in. When she came back she went right to the family & asked to help them. At this point I had already waited 5-7 minutes to order my bubble tea drink. So I raised my hand and my voice a bit and said that I was next. The employee just ignored me. Another employee took my order after waiting another couple minutes. No apology given by any employee for my waiting or for having been ignored. I can only come up with one reason for the mistreatment and disrespect. I was the only asian in the store amongst a room full of caucasian patrons. As it is 2017 I absolutely am appalled at such behavior. A few words of advise to MANAGEMENT/OWNER - train your employees that discrimination is not allowed in the workplace. Also, to avoid confusion create a queue line in the store or use the tried and true ticket number system. Especially when an event such as the Dog Bowl brings in thousands of people. I do hope some changes are made for a better...
