Funky Skunk — Local services in City of Frankenmuth

I was extremely disappointed this evening while shopping in this store. I've been waiting quite awhile to go back, and today was finally the day! And I had my Granddaughter with me this time as well. I travel quite a bit for work and always come across the best little shops! This was one of my favorites until today. We went in with intentions of purchasing several necklaces, sweaters, and a hat for my Husband and family. The young man waiting on us was quite rude. He literally gave the impression that he did not want to wait on us. Anytime we asked a question, he acted as if it was a bother. Now mind you, I am the District Manager for multiple properties throughout the US, and had one of my employees treated someone in this manner, they would be unemployed. Stores are having a tough enough time competing with online business, I would think you would go out of your way to keep the good customers you have. We had been traveling all day, tired, and of course not in a suit.....but I definitely would have dropped a couple thousand in there today without blinking for gifts for my family! What a shame to be treated in such a manner. That young man should be ashamed of himself. Training is needed for that one! We walked out with 1 necklace and a bottle of Cologne, not nearly what I intended on purchasing! I suppose I'll have to search for a new shop for all my Irish gifts! Good luck to your...

Been frequenting Zehnder's waterpark and hotel with my kids for years now, they LOVE the whole Chicken Meal experience, and Frankenmuth has that great vibe for shopping and entertainment.

FUNKY SKUNK is an expertly curated (and well-stocked) Irish Store in the RIVER PLACE SHOPS Complex, right in the heart of everything. They purvey excellent merchandise in a price range that suits anyone and everything, from 5 and Dime to 5th Avenue.

I bought my mom a beautiful wool sweater from there several years ago. It still looks great and gets worn practically daily all fall and winter long, every year. The quality is outstanding.

For Irish authenticity, high quality, wide variety, and just plain old good shopping, I would definitely recommend them.

I bought a few sweaters that were 75% off. I feel like they were a great deal! Very nice and helpful young man working this morning. There was a lady that came in (owner? supervisor?) that had a few not so nice words for the nice young man... I feel that her conversation should not have been on the floor in front of the customers. No one should have to work in a place where they are treated like that. I hope she takes a little constructive criticism and puts herself in her employees' shoes. In a world where most are only making $10-$15 per hour- there are lots of places...
