Coffee Nut Cafe — Restaurant in City of Long Beach

I stop here for a coffee on my way to the boardwalk - cute place great smell of coffee. I always get the Americano nice and hot and great tasting coffee. I went this morning got an Americano and Oatmeal cookie spent $9.00 an hour later I stopped back and ordered a small regular coffee and sat at a table. It was not drinkable....tasted like dirty water or a bad weak tea with an aftertaste. I quietly went back to the counter and said it was not drinkable (cup was full) and I would have another americano or for her to check on the thermos the coffee came from as something was wrong. She rudely said "you will pay for the americano I can't resell this cup of coffee" I quietly said you cant sell the coffee as it is not drinkable she threw away the cup and said to pay for americano...I left and went next door to the diner (lovely staff and great coffee) Get lost lady - I am trying to call to speak to the owner as they should know they lost a customer willing to spend $9.00+ - 3x a week over a disgusting .40Cent cup of coffee...

Don't let the few negative reviews scare you. Customer service has always been a difficult field. These days it's horrendous with so many entitled people in the world. Lighten up people. Do you realize you're complaining about getting a cup of coffee? I know their coffee is amazing but there are much bigger problems than you not getting your cup of coffee. As for the customer who complained that the woman kept on announcing that they were closing, if she didn't people would never leave. This cafe is open 12 hours a day. These poor people have lives and a family to get home to.

If anything, those reviews should tell you how delicious their coffee is. Check them out! I'm so glad I did!...

I would love to leave a 5 star review about how amazing the coffee here is, and it is, but unfortunately I have to rate the extremely poor customer service. I arrived just after 6pm and the door was locked. The girl working saw me, came and opened up the door, and told me everything was closed up. I was surprised and told her I just checked online and it said it was still open til 8pm. Instead of taking the opportunity to thank me for the information and offer an apology, she instead replied with an all too amused smile, a shrug, and said "Call us." before closing the door on me. Why would I call if I just confirmed the information online? With that kind of customer service I'll travel towns over for different coffee, thank...
