Umi Nails Spa — Local services in City of Long Beach

I absolutely love this salon! I’ve been getting my nails done for over 25 years. I gave up hope finding a salon in Long Beach that was a good fit. I was either disappointed by the results or made to feel quite uncomfortable by the various technicians. About a month after Umi opened I heard how amazing the salon was and tried it out. My nails were stubs - short/weak and I constantly would bite them off! I have a job that constantly used to break, chip, etc. all my nails. So I took a chance and haven’t looked back since! My nails have never been healthier and I owe it all to this nail salon. The owners are BEYOND amazing and all the nail technicians are friendly and so helpful. If that wasn’t enough they are supremely talented! The shape of my nails has transformed over the past year tremendously. I now have long strong nails and have little desire to bite them off! Each time I returned they helped me find a shape and style I now love. I have never had a nail break or even chip. I look forward to my routine appointment. I am always ready to give challenging designs I find online and watch them deliver them with ease!! If Umi ever moved out of Long Beach I would follow them immediately! I’ve been going to this place since it opened and I wanted to make it my go to spot for my nails. Everyone who does nails there are great but their pricing is all over the place. I’m debating coming back because the last time I went the woman who’s in charge of pricing charged me 80 instead of 50 for a gel fill in. I asked her why and she said it’s been over 3 weeks. It feels a little greedy because everytime I come I spend 300 for a gel mani pedi with designs. They don’t even push back your cuticles when they do a fill in so of course I’ll have some space left. This place is amazing!! They have SO many unique colors and styles. I got a light pink chrome gel manicure. I’ve had this polish for two weeks and my nails still look just as good as when I first got them done! The skin around my nails gets dry in the winter and the technician I had was really attentive and made sure not to get the nail polish remover in any cuts (literally a first for me with any nail technician I’ve ever had lol) I didn’t have a great experience at my usual nail salon last time I went so I tried this place on a whim, and now I will definitely be going...
