Horrible customer experience. Having enjoyed their treats periodically over the years (I grew up here), I called to order a pie for my mother's birthday. I called on Tuesday to place an order for pickup on Thursday.
I asked if they had Key Lime Pie, and the lady on the phone said "no", and I asked what pies they did have and chose blueberry. However in that same phone call, the lady says "Actually, we can make you a Key Lime Pie, for your order", so I said "That's great, it's kind of a tradition for my mom's birthday to have Key Lime pie so this really means a lot to me". I left my name and number, and got the price (a little over 10 dollars), and moved on with my life.
Fast forward to Thursday morning, the day of my mother's birthday, in which another lady calls from the Bakery to say "We don't make Key Lime Pies, sorry, we don't even have the ingredients". So now my mother's birthday card has false information, the traditional key lime pie thing is ruined, and they did nothing to make good on their mistake. I was misled as a customer, but I'm not the type to make a fuss or demand a refund like some "Karen". However, a part of me was hoping they would do something along the lines of "Sorry we misled you and messed up your order for your mother's birthday, here's some cookies or a discount" or anything remotely resembling professionalism or general courtesy.
Nothing was done to account for their mistake and I'm fairly certain the young woman who blatantly lied to me was one of the cashiers when I went to pickup and she didn't look me in the eye once.
I would recommend using just about any other bakery in Long Beach, even though they may seem more expensive, as you will have a better chance of actual customer service and...
Read moreI called early morning and asked for a Black Forest cake, as it was requested for a birthday party. I asked the woman on the phone if they had a Black Forest cake a few times to make sure because she kept talking about it had chocolate. She said yes and agreed to hold it for me until I can mid afternoon to pick up for birthday party. I went about 3:30 pm to pick up the cake and the same lady that I talked to on the phone waited on me. I reminded her that I called for Black Forest cake and she remembered and took it out of the case. She kept talking about it having chocolate and cream and I kept asking if it was a Black Forest cake like I asked for and she said she had. It turns out that it was not a Black Forest cake and she did not even know what a Black Forest cake was. It was too late to go somewhere else so I had to buy another cake. I asked her to write Happy Birthday.... and she would not. The other young lady did it for me even though she said she will do her best to write. I asked for boss but he was not there. The lady I spoke to kept smirking seeing I was upset that now I could not bring the cake I asked for. Very rude and should not work...
