The rainbow lights on falls mist are beautiful as well.. the best spot to view is from Niagara falls state parks...there is a garden there and view from there are beautiful. You might have to stay bit late like 9pm past there. In the night if it is not peak summer it gets cold so get sweater. It also get bit dark around state park so watch for young kids. Otherwise it is spectacular to view the show for first time...you can even get some food , do picnic and watch the show. Check the dates in advance as sometime if weather is not good they...
Read moreLarge crowds gather at terrapin point thinking that the fireworks are going to be shot off over Horseshoe Falls. That was not the case for us, they were actually shot off further down the lower river, near the observation deck and loading dock for the Maid of the Mist boat tours. That's important to know ahead of time because a lot of trees block views of the fireworks along the cliffline so plan accordingly.
