My family and I stayed from July 3rd-6th. Arrived Thursday in the early evening around 4-4:30pm. After traveling 800 miles I was in desperate need of a shower. Walking into the bathroom I noticed that the shower faucet was leaking. I tried turning the shower on and couldn’t get more than a drizzle to come out. Went downstairs to the front desk to let them know. Was told maintenance would take a look and let us know what they find. They were fully booked and couldn’t get us another room. (I understand it’s a holiday weekend but it’s not my problem they over booked and didn’t hold reserve rooms for issues like this that arise) After dinner my dad went back to the front desk and was told they had to get a part and would fix it tomorrow, that a note was left by maintenance in the room for me. There was no note stating maintenance had ever been there. The faucet was still constantly leaking and I couldn’t get the shower to work. That’s fine, I was too tired at that point and took a bird bath in the sink. We went about our vacation Friday and when I got back to the room I was definitely ready for good shower, but what did I find? Surprise! It was still leaking and the shower still wouldn’t turn on. I went back down to the front desk to inquire as to why the shower wasn’t fixed. I was told they had told my dad to come back first thing in the morning to let them know the shower wasn’t working. That maintenance had left for the day already. Why would we need to reiterate a problem that was already addressed that everyone involved knew wasn’t fixed the day before and we were told would be fixed the next day?? Probably because no one had actually ever been to the room to look at the shower in the first place is my guess. Front desk man said he would go look at it himself. When I told my dad he went to speak to the front desk and was told that the man had went up and the shower worked perfectly fine for him. The issue? You had to jam the shower handle in with all your strength and turn it in a complete circle 6 times for it to come on. Still didn’t get anything more than barely lukewarm water and the constant faucet dripping was gonna happen no matter what. (I have a video of trying to use the shower but it won’t let me upload it) As a side note, the sheets were disgusting. I slept on top of everything with my own blanket and pillow. And the carpet in front of the bathroom with ripped up with sharp edges. All in all, only good thing is the hotels location.

We loved this place! It was our second time visiting in 6 years. It is located across the road from Niagara Falls. Literally across the street! From the room we had we could faintly hear the roar of the falls at night which was really cool! The staff was extremely helpful. Trisha, one of the managers, was eager to hear the ways in which wheelchair accessibility could be improved in the hotel. For example, there is a room where they serve breakfast. The tall coffee pots are pushed way to the back on the counter and I could not reach the lever to make the coffee pot work. Also, the food trays in conjunction with the counters they were on made it really hard to see into them to see what the food options were. Then, there was the issue of some of the items like sugar/creamer being in high baskets way out of reach of someone in a wheelchair. There were no cutouts in the long counters where someone who uses a wheelchair could pull into and reach the items that are along the back because the cabinets are in the way. There was a nice little coffee nook on the main floor by the lobby for guests to use 24/7. However, the cups, lids, etc are all on the back wall way out of my reach. The counter had no cut out area for my chair to get close enough to get my own coffee. The room we were given was HUGE and so was the bathroom but there was a bathtub with a small bench that was impossible to transfer into from a wheelchair because it did not hang over the side of the tub. People who can not use their legs would not be able to transfer from their wheelchair, over the lip of the tub, and onto the puny tub seat that is loose in the tub. Although the bathroom was spacious, and there was a space cut out for a wheelchair to roll under the sink, the space was too narrow and there was a water pipe in the way of the chair under the sink. We explained all of these issues to Trisha and she immediately moved us to a room with a roll-in shower which we truly appreciated. She also said she would be letting her boss know that the other issues exist.

Comfort Inn The Pointe is opposite the Niagara Falls state park. It takes a short walk (4-10) minutes to reach the Falls. The rooms are clean, smell fresh, the room size is comfortably large and the views of the park are stunning. I could see the fireworks at night and all the landmark buildings on the Canadian side. You cannot see the falls but it's the closest hotel on the NY side to them. The queen double room has two beds, tea/coffee maker, reading desk, a cupboard, an iron, a TV, storage, a mini fridge, a recliner and free wifi. There are toiletries, ample towels and a bath tub in the washroom. I found the rooms spotlessly clean and adequately supplied. The package includes daily breakfast too as a bonus. The breakfast contains fruit, potatoes, pancakes, scrambled eggs, corn flakes, bread, milk, tea, coffee, juice and yogurt. I am gluten and lactose intolerant and I had enough. The service is also good. I would recommend this hotel for a value based, comfortable and peaceful stay near the Niagara Falls. Book early as it gets sold out quickly.

Looking for a hotel close to Niagara Falls on the American side? If so, this is your hotel. You can walk out into the parking lot and pass through an opening, cross the street and you are in Niagara Falls State Park. This way takes you closer to the American Rapids. If you go out the back way through the lobby, it will take you to the entrance of the park and a side street with food trucks and other places to eat. The Hard Rock Cafe is a couple minutes walk from here.

There is a parking attendant who will ask if you have a reservation or need one. I had one and he told me that I could park, go in and get my parking pass. Parking costs $5 a night, on par with other hotels. Prices for the room were reasonable, especially for the time of year, August. Check in is at 4pm and I arrived a little before 3. The time I stayed masks were encouraged for unvaccinated guests. I was greeted promptly and with a friendly greeting. My room wasn't ready but I did get my parking pass and was told if I came back in a half hour, the room should be ready. Went to grab a bite to eat, came back 45 minutes later, and my room was ready. Again, I was greeted promptly and with a friendly greeting. Check in took about five minutes. The lobby was clean and well lit. My room was clean and smelled fresh. I did not notice any mold in the bathroom, and no noticeable stains on the beds or the carpet. The room was the cleanest I have stayed in over the years. If you stay 3 days, housekeeping does not come around until your last day. Beyond 3 days, they come around for the other days. You still can request service/items. They explain this when you check in. I did notice what sounded like the wind blowing but I knew the wind wasn't blowing. Come to find out, it was the sound of the Niagara River; you're that close. The breakfast is located one floor below the lobby and is served from 7-10am. Standard included breakfast. The main seating area has tables that seat 2 or 4 people and looked to hold about 20-25 people. There is another seating area they can open up in the main fills up. The gym is also on this floor but I did not visit it. If you can't or don't want to go down to the falls at night to see the fireworks, you can see them above the trees if you are on the 4th floor or above.

Overall I was pleased with this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to be as close as they can be to the falls and other attractions. Would book again if I...

Filthy, dirty and good for nothing. Booked 2 rooms in advance, requested connecting rooms as I traveled with my 82 year old beautiful Mother to fulfill her bucket list. I was on a budget so I though confort inn would be ok. Arrived to hotel, very dirty entrance, did not get connecting rooms as previously requested in advance. In fact the rooms were in different floors. We were tired and hungry so we had no other choice. Went to settle my mom in her room first and then went to mine. My room had been used or occupied and was not cleaned. By the time it was" cleaned" restaurants were closed and we went to bed hungry. Not even a vending machine for snacks only soft drinks and water. When I Ifinally laid on the bed and rolled comforter out there was nasal or some kind of green secretions stucked on comforter. I was so disgusted and sick to my stomach as i had contact with this secretion material. Threw it on the floor. Took pictures. I even asked the front desk clerk what was the problem with such a dirty and unsanitary conditions of this hotel. She looked hopeless and did what she could as she was the only staff on duty that night. I don't mind the humbleness of any place as long as it's cleaned. We considered relocating to another hotel but we were tired and hungry and I was also on a budget after 2 airline tickets car rental and 2 hotel rooms for 4 nights + food, and attractions. We went ahead as planned and did the best we could with this place. My Mom and I next trip is a Miami vacation. Had booked another confort inn which I will cancel and go to another hotel chain. I travel alot and had never ever experienced such unsanitary conditions in a hotel. I also requested the room to be cleaned the following days at reception desk before going to the falls and never got it. I'm not a complainer but this had to be done. If I had read these on the reviews I would have never booked it. There is a sign in the room's bathroom that states that the best cleaners or whatever are used to sanitize and clean. What a joke. This rooms were not cleaned at all. What a shame that this hotel conducts business in this manner. I guess who ever manages this hotel thinks that we must come from a worse and filthier place and would be happy with what this hotel had to offer. Insulting, disgusting and not to USAs tandards. Again,...
