Royal Dragon Noodle Bar & Grill — Restaurant in City of Niagara Falls

Update to my May 2021 review (this review made 10/22) I brought my wife to Niagara Falls for vacation and this restaurant stuck out strongly enough in my mind to make it a point to return. It is every, EVERY bit as good as my review below. We decided to split a shrimp noodle bowl and a chicken teriyaki with fried rice bowl. Both were... I can't find the right word here. Incredible? Phenomenal? Probably some of the best Chinese food you'll find anywhere. The service is very friendly and helpful as well. Anyway, my original review follows.

Absolutely, utterly fantastic. The food was so fresh I think the chicken might have been running around clucking a few hours before I got there. Very friendly and efficient service, I just wish the dining room was open. They did however have outdoor tables and this area is a great place to be eating outdoors anyway. I hope to be able to return someday. The picture is what they call chicken fried rice. It's TOP NOTCH quality. As at least one other review has said though, if you like your Chinese food absolutely bursting with flavor, you'll want to add a little soy sauce. But that is truly all it took. Highly, highly...

I really don’t ever leave reviews but this was honestly the best Chinese food I have had in a very long time! We ordered chicken lo mein, shrimp and fried ride, and the general to chicken. The food was super fresh, chicken was meaty as opposed to being all breading, the shrimp was cooked perfectly, and fried rice was delicious! The teriyaki with the honey was super good as well and I ended up pouring it all over my shrimp. But the best part of the experience was the waitress. She was honestly the kindest and most helpful waitress I have ever had. We had two young children with us (18 months and 4 y.o.) and she brought over extra plates and smaller utensils for the kids to make it easier for them to eat the food. At the end of the meal, she brought over Hershey kisses for everyone (I saw her do this for other tables too) but she then asked us if it was ok to give our kiddos a full size candy bar because they had done such a good job trying and eating their food. This is not cheap, greasy Chinese takeout. It's delicious and I wish I had found it earlier in our trip so I could go back!

I don't expect great service these days as the service industry is struggling and almost every staff person is doing the job of several people. But this place hit it out of the park.

I planned to dine in and offered the #10 noodle bowl - shrimp udon. I don't think the noodles were buckwheat or anything but they were very fresh and cooked to perfection in a light sauce with fresh - not frozen - broccoli and a significant portion of large, lightly seasoned shrimp. I saved some for my husband to try. I also got a lychee Jasmine bubble tea and it was great, no funky powdered stuff.

The real kicker was the the server set up a table just for my toddler and I with a high chair and flatware, but when I realized I was late for a meeting she packed our food to go for me in under a minute with a sweet little cookie while taking orders from the next family.
