Oswego Speedway is kind of like a super cool car club and everyone's invited with open arms. I go here every weekend, mostly because my significant other's father owns a big block supermodified and his uncle drives it, The Sharkeys and his cousins the Danzers and Hawksbys are there racing/running as well. He has an amazing racing family..It's in their blood. I love them💜 My friend Dalton races the small block cars so we always say heyy to him and his dad after the race. The owner John is a nice, softspoken yet down to earth guy who he listens to all the racers and any concerns they may have. All around Great people who love the lifestyle!! The cool part about the speedway is everyone knows someone so it's like a big family, I can't tell you how many foodstuffs, smiles and laughs we've passed around once we enter the pits after the race. And fyi to anyone who didn't know, YOU CAN GO IN THE PITS AND SOCIALIZE AFTER THE RACE! come see the cars! You'll get autographs, make friends, and random people will offer you food Lol. As the s/o of a pit crew guy I could be in the trailer or watch in the pits with my son, but generally I sit in the stands during the race because Unless you're running personally I think it's harder to see things down in the pits as the cars wooosh past you so swiftly. However you can do both, some people buy a pit pass and you can go from the stands to the pits and vice versa. (Granted there's no cars running...or you'll be squished.) The red section of the stands is non-smoking so it's a safe environment for little lungs. They sell noise reducing headphones down in a booth where the food is for 10$ (The booth to the right of the popcorn booth) Protect their little ears! There's excellent food, Dino's has great stuff, My lovely friend Cheryl and her husband run it and their daughters all work there as well, support small family businesses💜 My son and I freaking love it there! I love the people, the grub, the excitement of the races, the whole shabang. We go every weekend since the season started and we'll continue to support the steel palace in all it's metal...

Jkjk,. The Oswego Speedway is a legendary half mile asphalt track located on the SE corner of lake Ontario. It is "The Home of The Supermodifieds" and is also known as "The Steel Palace".
It runs a regular program of Big Block and Small Block Super modifieds on Saturday nights spring through summer and into autumn. Through out the race season Oswego Speedway hosts special events as the facility is visited by ISMA and MSA (winged supermodifieds) as well as DART Asphalt Modified Tour cars, Buckeye Super (winged asphalt) Sprint Cars. Since 2016, "The Steel Palace" gets covered with about 7000 cubic feet of clay and becomes "The Clay Palace" for DIRTcar's NAPA Auto Parts Super Dirt Week that takes place...
