Highly anticipated 1st visit to the new Outback in Clayton. We are outback fans so couldn't wait. We made pre arranged reservation on the app. We arrived is was very busy which was expected and it was fatherday weekend. There was some issue with the text notification waiting in our table and the wait was a little longer even though we signed up ahead. Which was not a big deal, it is expected. It was nice to see the owner present helping guest as they arrived. Service wad a little slow but again they were very busy. We started as always with a blooming Onion. Was very good and was nit disappointing. We all had steaks and potato and daughter got shrimp with hers. Side salds were good too. Everything was great. The only flaw was I ordered medium steak and it was cooked rare. However it was still good. They offered to get me a new steak. No need because it was still very good. Over all very good and hope it continues.

My husband and I went here for our celebration of " new furniture."" We had the nicest server and hostess. Our food was absolutely on point. My steak was done correctly, medium rare. The entrƩe was beyond delicious. Shrimp and steak cajun alfredo. My husband had the Outback blooming onion fried chicken as that was on point as well. The only drawback was that the floor in the restaurant was really slippery. I had to walk extremely slow so as not to fall. Elderly people who were eating there had to be escorted out hanging on arms of those who brought them. Everyone needs to be so cautious with that situation. But all in all, it was a great visit. And the complimentary warm bread and soft butter was, awesome!

Very nice inside. Brand new place. We came on a Sunday late afternoon and it was pretty busy but not too loud that we couldn’t hear each other speaking The waitress was super nice and very accommodating. Daughter spilled her drink everywhere and they handled it like champs. Food was very good and came out quickly. E had too kids meals and 2 adults dinners. All tasted great. We’ll definitely be coming here regularly.

I had gone to the Outback for a Prime Rib dinner, with my family. We asked the server to see if they had 3 servings of Medium Rare Prime Rib, she went to the kitchen and confirmed that they had 3 Med Rare servings of the Prime Rib. After waiting awhile, the Manager came out and stated that they only had one serving of the medium rare, so I told him to give it to my wife and my son and I ordered the Filet I had started to say sixteen ounces when I was reminded it was 6 or 8 ounces, he moved on to my sons order which he said 8 ounces, I commented that makes 2 of them, however he was in a rush and didn't bother to repeat the order like they train the servers. I hadn't seen our server in a while so I flagged down another management member and said that I believe the Manager put me down as for a 6-ounce, so I told her that the 6-ounce needed to be changed to an 8-ounce. When our meals came out they put the 8-ounce steak in front of me and the 6 ounce in front of my son, which we responded that his was supposed to be an 8 ounce also the server took his back to the kitchen, awhile later the server returned with another steak which looked to be the same one as before when I asked if that was the 8-ounce he replied that it was. The filets had so much seasoning on them that we had to scrape it off and they were still extremely over seasoned. The server passed by in an uninterrupted stride, asking how things were, I replied with OK ,BUT and she tuned me out after ok, but NO ONE from Management ever came back to see how things were or if the steaks or Prime Rib was as they should be. We decided to go ahead and eat them anyway. When we had finished our original server came by to remove our plates, and we told her about the steaks, and asked about the Veteran discount, which she said she would get that corrected on the bill, and then said she would pass it on to Management about the seasoning. Management didn't come by, after waiting for a few minutes, I proceeded to pay, on the box on the table. I wrote basically the same review as now and ended it with "If you wanted to discuss it, they could contact me" and left my name and phone number. We were there on August 17th (it was about a week before my birthday, which is why we went to begin with) and as of today September 3rd, I still have not heard from anyone. Once we were informed of them not having the Prime Rib, we noticed that there were more orders being sent out to the Curbside ordering, than what was coming out to the dining room. I definitely don't recommend the Clayton, NC location. By the way, Outback had been my...

I’d like to share feedback from my recent visit to the Outback Steakhouse in Clayton, a location that opened a few months ago.

I’ve eaten here twice before and had good service and good food, so I returned with two coworkers. We were seated at the bar and ordered drinks while deciding on mains. I ordered the filet and lobster; my coworkers ordered blooming shrimp. We also shared a side salad. The food timing was off. The fried shrimp arrived about 15 minutes after ordering, and the salad came about 5 minutes later. This seemed odd given the pace of service. My coworker and I noted the shrimp tasted funny, as if they had been cooked in dirty oil or grease. A couple arrived after us and their food came out after our initial wait, which added to our frustration. We sat down around 11:15 AM and I received my medium steak at 11:49 AM, which was after my coworkers had finished eating. I expected at least a manager to check in, but no one did. This lack of proactive service was disappointing. To cap it off, my steak was overcooked by the time I got to work, although I did end up boxing it. The overall quality and timing left me dissatisfied. Given my past positive experiences here, this visit was notably below expectations. I’m hesitant to return in...

We came to this outback on Saturday night knowing it’s probably gonna be busy because it’s Saturday. Had no problem waiting an hour to be seated. It was to be expected. After two minutes of being seated, our amazing waitress Kirsten came and got our drink order and appetizers at the same time. I understand and have extreme patience when an establishment is busy and the kitchen is backed up that’s to be expected, but to have to wait 25 minutes for a single beer in my opinion is ridiculous. At one point I saw our server trying very hard to get our beer. The bartender was not having it. At the same time our salads that came with our entrĆ©e arrived before we even got our appetizers. And then when the appetizers came out, which one of them happened to be the mozzarella sticks, we were told give me just a minute the marinara sauce Will be right out needless to say never got marinara sauce. In my opinion, if any department is a little backed up, which again is normal it happens the manager’s on duty though should step up and help, especially at the bar when people are dining they...
