It was a week before Christmas when I went to this store and noticed some moldings and trim on clearance. It was a Saturday evening so I felt assured there would still be product left on the shelves Monday morning. I spoke with the store manager for around 30 min about the products and he assured me I would be able to call in and order it. I was on my way out of town for Christmas and was going to be late due to this exchange with the manager but was well worth it for the amount of savings I would have. I was excited. God is good and merry Christmas! Then, Monday morning, I called to order the material, I had to get my order together for a whole house of base, crown, window casings etc. when I called in, the girl told me it had been reduced to a penny a foot. I was ecstatic but would have been thrilled to get it at the price it was Saturday night. Well she says she can’t sell it to me for a penny. Then I speak with the manager who acts like we have never spoken. They say they can’t sell me the product because it has all been removed from the store which I know to be a lie. I ask them to send me a pic to prove it. They refuse. When I went to the store a few days later, the display was still there and the material was gone but the girl in the phone said the whole display was gone. This product can be “sold back to” the vendor and the store does with it what they want. I have spoke. To many stores since and the manager could have sold me the product if he had wanted to. I was going to buy several thousand dollars of this product. The manager used to be in pro services so I’m sure he has old customer that would have loved to buy some of this. In our Saturday night conversation he expressed to me how having a pro on your side helps you know about these kinds of deal early on. There was a lot of product there Saturday night. Sunday is a low key day as far as contractors like myself go, then this is Monday morning and the manager didn’t even know the product had been reduced until my call to order it so I am certain he had not given the order to remove it. He just refused to sell it to me. I spend a lot of money with Home Depot each year. I send them lots of customers each year. I am very unhappy with how this...
Read moreOn Saturday, May 25, 2024, my wife and I went to The Home Depot in Clear Lake Shores, Texas, to look at refrigerators, because our 15 year old one finally died and we had been refreshing all our kitchen appliances with stainless steel ones.
Prior to our arrival, we measured our now dead refrigerator and the nook in which it was located. On arrival, sales person QPJDT4G (according to the receipt) was given the dimensions and happily sold us a Samsung Bespoke 4-door Flex refrigerator, a five year warranty, delivery/installation, and haul away of our dead fridge. The delivery was scheduled for the following Thursday, May 30.
On May 27, I received an email telling me “Time to prepare for your delivery!”, and the following day I received another email letting me know “Unfortunately, your delivery was rescheduled” for today, Saturday, June 8. This morning, our delivery drivers arrived and were getting ready to haul out our old fridge. The gentleman took a couple of measurements and said our newly ordered fridge would not fit because of the width of the doors, then told me has repeatedly told Home Depot they need to consider the width of the refrigerator doors prior to finalizing a sale. So, after waiting for two weeks for the delivery of a new fridge, we found out it would fit the nook, but that the door would only open about four inches.
The delivery driver was great. He contacted Home Depot to start the refund for me, along with an explanation of the refrigerator door width. He then had me contact Home Depot customer service to finalize the refund. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes, after which I was told it would take a week for my order to be refunded, so I can’t even go to Home Depot to go find another refrigerator until my money is returned to me (after having my order delayed for over a week). Absolutely piss poor customer service. Home Depot has lost my business.
UPDATE- my wife and I went to the Baybrook Lowe’s Saturday, June 8. Salesman Gary was very attentive, understood that some refrigerators open wider than their specified dimensions, and we placed an order. It was delivered and installed THE VERY NEXT DAY. Thank you, Lowe’s, and...
Read morePLEASE PAY ATTENTION WHEN BUYING AT THIS LOCATION !!!!! I went in to purchase flooring for my home, I bought 16 boxes of the trafficMaster winding brook model priced at $1.49 a sq ft / $35.68 a box. When I went to self check out, total came out as $834 (I paid in cash) I didn’t think of it much, but once I started loading the flooring onto my truck I check the receipt and noticed that they had charged me $47.66 per box. So I went to service desk so they could give me the price that was shown on the shelf and refund me what was up charged. Brittany was the one that did the whole refund transaction, she refunded me $207 including tax (the difference of what I paid and what I should have paid). I put the flooring on my home and I had 6 boxes left so I went ahead and tried to return them. Once I get there they told me they couldn’t process the return since I did not have the receipt of re-purchase, and I look at the upper manager on charge on 5/16/2024 at 7:40pm with confusion . He had told me that the return shown on the receipt show that $825 in cash was returned to me when in reality only $207 was returned to me. The upper manager told me what must have been done was do a return on everything and repurchase the material for the price of $35.68. That was never mentioned to me on the day I purchased the flooring and was only given the difference which was $207. That was their mistake not mine, they made me feel like I was trying to scam them, which I don’t understand how could they think that if supposedly on the receipt they returned me all the money meaning that I must have left with no product whatsoever and yet I have 6 boxes that they can visibly see I’m returning. Brittany was also there on the day I was trying to return the 6 boxes and was not held accountable, I am very upset and unsatisfied with my experience and I advise to all who are buying at this location to double check the prices and most importantly DO NOT PAY CASH It is easy for them to take the easy way out and do things incorrectly. Management that day did not held the person responsible for all this mess...
