To be very honest, I would give no stars if it were possible. My family and I have been coming to this CMX Cinemas at Countryside Mall for many, many years. We enjoyed coming here, but definitely things are not the same at this location. Last night my daughter, my son, and her friend went to see a movie. My daughter and her friend went to the auditorium while my son went to get some churros and a drink. When my son went to put icy in his cup, the machine wasn’t working. One of the employees told my son to use the other machine because the icy machine is not working. My son looked at the employee and said thank you, so he proceeded to put a drink in his cup. After that, he took the drink to his sister and came back to get the churros. That’s when the nightmare started. The manager, I think her name is Sydney. She started accusing my son of breaking the icy machine… my son was surprised and responded to her respectfully because my son is a gentleman and he will never have bad behavior towards anyone. My son told her, “Excuse me, ma’am,” but the icy machine was already broken and one of your employees told me so, so I did not break the icy machine. She continued to falsely accuse my son of breaking the icy machine and walked to the auditorium, where my kids were and stood right in front of my daughter and her friend, and started yelling at my kids to leave the theaters immediately. My daughter asked why, and Sydney, the manager, said that your brother broke the icy machine, and my daughter responded, “ I don’t think so. My brother will never do something like that.” She continued to kick my kids out, making a scene and embarrassing them in front of everyone there. My kids have never in my entire life have never given me any troubles. In fact, my kids have beautiful behavior, and everywhere I go, I receive beautiful compliments of how beautifully my kids behave and how polite they are. What this manager did to my kids is unacceptable. I called the police and the police saw the video camera and did not see my son doing absolutely anything wrong. The police told me to reach out to corporate and I did. I’ve even talked to a lawyer about this situation. But I am just waiting to see what corporate does about this situation, and if not, I will proceed to do what I have to do because when something is wrong, it’s wrong. And I won’t stay...
Read moreMyself,my daughter with her two friends were at movies here today watching “The Conjuring” and had the most antagonizing experience. We often come to the movies and have for many many years. The manager “Paul” (he said his name was Paul) without prior warning started screaming at us to be quiet or that we needed to leave, I was quite shocked and confused. I did see him standing by the stairs next to us and found him odd just standing there. He then started literally screaming at us to be quiet and then I advised we werent being loud (other people were and that was okay, its normal for people to scream or laugh @ movies) and then said to get out and ended up kicking us out. We, just like everyone else, were normally watching the movie. If we were so loud as he claims I want video recording of it. And I would definitely want video recording of his behavior as well. All the viewers at theatre were screaming because it is a scary movie! Typical normal behavior and nothing out of the ordinary. The antagonistic behavior of “Paul” was unacceptable, and he really crossed the line by getting up to my face, condescending and being loud, he didnt come up to me as a professional would to notify us of any complains or to be quieter… it was unnecessary for him to conduct himself that way and have very strange behavior. I asked him nicely if someone had complained and he kept loudly asking us to leave and that he would call the cops if I didnt, and I replied I would be the one to call them due to his unprofessional behavior. It was gaslighting. I have NEVER in my life felt so criminalized for something I didnt do or for just having normal behavior. I am disgusted and distraught by his behavior and want to report him, he should not be a “manager” or have any supervising positions ever. He is not a diplomatic and professional individual. I am requesting my funds back for all the money spent at this establishment for the tickets and overpriced food today and will be making a formal complaint to corporate and...
Read moreCobb theater is suppose to be a enhanced experience type of theater. Sometimes I specifically chose Cobb because it doesn't have that old theater smell most do. I also feel that because so many theaters have smells and not as fancy features that more people will pay the price for only one ticket, which is higher than most. The staff are friendly, which most theater staff are in any establishment. There are a lot of different choices of beverages and food to choose from so it satisfies a magirity of people's wants. I've only ever seen teenagers running the place so I'm pretty impressed with the the amount of respect I see. As for movies I can not blame nor expect Cobb to held accountable for those with bad acting, or stupid outcomes. I also can not rate the fact that parents and family bring young or infant children because sadly the policy for all theaters is over the age or 17+ or an adult you can bring anyone who's not 17+ So those of you who are on here rating Cobb based on your dislike of a policy that was created by the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) should probably realize that A. Rate the MPPA & B. Cobb theater can not decline service based on any reason because, & I love this, those of you complaining about the issue of babies and young children would then in fact complain about the unfairness of that Cobb was treating the parents. So your complains shouldn't be allowed on google reviews. I'd say that overall I am...
