Publix Pharmacy at Gulf to Bay Plaza — Attraction in Clearwater

I have an infection that I went to the doctor for on Friday. It is now Monday and they still haven't filled the prescription, stating they needed to speak with my doctor because they only had capsules, not pills-not that it matters to me- so I've been without medicine I need for a few days now because they "can't reach my doctor." I call BS, they just aren't calling. I have a 2 week old baby and an infection thats getting worse, and I need that medication. Its a good thing I'm not dying or anything. My baby also has a prescription that needs to be filled as well that I gave to them yesterday and was told would be ready today. The service here should be the gold standard for every pharmacy that cares about their patients. There are several pharmacies closer to my house, but I get my prescriptions here because the staff is so helpful and so kind. I take multiple medications, so I've interacted with most of the staff at some point. I have never had a bad experience. The pharmacists, the techs - they're all amazing at a time when customer service is suffering everywhere else. I'm so grateful for their patience (I ask a lot of questions) and their solution-oriented approach has saved me a lot of stress when I have trouble with my insurance holding up a refill. I hurt my back and my physician sent in a couple of prescriptions. First, they took until the next day to fill them. Then, I go to pick them up and they won’t sell them to me because I don’t remember a telephone number or PO Box from years ago. I have my drivers license in my hand.
