Our recent dolphin tour with Cocoa Beach Dolphin Tours was an absolute dream come true! From start to finish, every aspect of this experience was nothing short of magical. The highlight of our adventure was the mesmerizing bioluminescence water. As we embarked on this unique nighttime journey, our anticipation grew, and we were not disappointed. Witnessing the dolphins and fish lighting up the water around us was a sight straight out of a fairytale. It's hard to put into words just how enchanting it truly was. Our kids, aged 5 and 6, were in complete awe, their faces lit up with wonder. What made this tour even more memorable was the impeccable service provided by the Cocoa Beach Dolphin Tours team. Their expertise and knowledge about the local marine life were evident, and they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout the trip. The safety measures in place made us feel at ease, especially considering we had our young children and our parents with us. Speaking of family, this tour was a fantastic choice for a multi-generational outing. Our parents, along with my wife and I, shared laughter and joy as we bonded over this shared experience. The tour provided the perfect setting for creating lasting memories and meaningful connections. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure that caters to all ages, look no further than Cocoa Beach Dolphin Tours. From the captivating bioluminescence water to the expert staff, this tour exceeded our expectations in every way. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for a night we will never forget.

We enjoyed our time out on the water to watch the liftoff of Space X Dragon on April 23. My friends and booked at the last minute online for the special charter going out to view the launch. I was happy with the emails and instructions from the company advising where to find the boat dock. The night before the cruise, we drove over to check out the parking situation so we'd know where to park. We arrived around 430am to make the 549am launch. Hot coffee on the boat would have been nice, but we had enough time to drive to 7-11 to buy some. The boat was not even half full, and we were comfortable not wearing masks. We made our way to as close to the launch site as allowed, all the while listening to the banter of the Space X commentators over the boat's speakers. This was my first live launch, and I was very happy to have an unobstructed view - although we were not as close as I'd hoped. I'd imagined we'd feel the roar of the power, or even hear the launch, but it was fairly quiet where we were. The actual launch lit up the morning sky, and it was clear enough for us to follow the progress of the rocket until the separation stage. I felt the trip was well worth the $100 per person that we paid. Cruising back to the dock we watched the sunrise. I would recommend this as an option to watch another launch.

Wonderful sunset tour! The two running the boat and tour have been here for a long time. They can tell you about the history of the area and local customs, as well as show you and tell you about the wildlife. We saw dolphins, a manatee made a short appearance, and we saw so many birds! Now I have heard the names of most of them at least, lol. It was cold on the water since it is winter. Feel free to bring a blanket. Part of the tour they just sit back and let you watch the sunset. I do wish they had asked about music or played something less twangy, but it wasn't too bad. I think it might make the tour even better if they had a few laminated sheets per seat that show a picture and the spelling of the bird names. It feels like you are in the middle of the color spectrum when you are on the water for the sunset! Absolutely stunning and beautiful! Take your significant other today! Pictures don't do the color array across the sky and reflected in the water justice.

I wish I could leave a no star. My family booked the evening cruise for my birthday. I live in Colorado and was hoping for a great experience. Unfortunately the weather took a turn (obviously not the fault of the company) but my husband called to ask about weather policy and refunds. It took over an hour to finally get a live person and when we did, they responses was they do not give refunds unless they cancel. They also said their captains are highly experienced and they rarely cancel for weather. Thus, we took the hour drive in the rain because they assured us that with only a 30% chance of rain they would not likely cancel. When we arrived it was pouring rain with high winds. There was no place to shelter except in our cars. The captains were great but said they could not make the cancel call and that they were waiting for a response from the owners. We all sat in our cars for over an hour. Finally, the captains said they were canceling. During this time we continued to try to contact someone from the office, but there is no one you can talk to. You can only reach out to the AI answering service. They send your message forward to a live person and then you have to wait. For that reason once we got the verbal confirmation that they were canceling, I said we need to talk to a live person to confirm that we would receive a refund. We never spoke to anyone, but did receive a text message that we were refunded, 15 minutes after the cancelation was confirmed. Mind you, we also paid the extra insurance policy just on case so that we could get the refund. We wasted all that time on my birthday for nothing. The owners could have called it much sooner but choose not to. This confirms that they do not care about their customers safety nor do they value their time. It has been over a week and, I still do not have my refund. For this reason, I STRONGLY recommend not using this company. There are other companies to go through. Hopefully, one of them will value you their customers time and will be more concerned with their safety over...

My family and I took 2 trips the same day.

  1. The first one is advertised on their site as "In search of Wildlife". But on "GetYourGuide" website selling these same tickets it's advertised as "Cocoa Beach: Thousand Islands Banana River Boat Cruise". In both descriptions it suggests encounters with dolphins and manatees. We saw backs of few dolphins, and only 1 submerged manatee. But the tour guide and crew were very entertaining all the way through. So as a boat trip, it was worth the ride for the price ($40). I'd give this 4 stars, taking 1 away only because advertisement is very suggestive of dolphin/manatee experiences. And if you expect to see a lot of them, don't. This is a chance-only event. You may get lucky or not.
  2. The 2nd one was in the evening, named the "Thousand Island Bioluminescence Tour". For $58 (50+tax) per person, this was a disappointment. You could barely see anything. The effect was definitely not as vivid as on the pictures, the water was just slightly lighter when disturbed. So really you could only observe the effect right next to boat hull sides as the boat was moving through the water, and a little behind the engines. It looked like greyish/bluish or foamy effect on otherwise dark water, definitely not luminescent as one would expect by the definition of the word. That experience would've been fine if the price was cheaper and the guide as more entertaining. But half way though the trip he just stopped talking. I guess there was nothing else to say. The last thing he showed us was a video on his phone he made at some point in the past when a dolphin was swimming through the water, making the bioluminescent effect. That was nice, but I can find videos of miracles on the net for free, don't need to pay $60 a head for that. So the pretense of featuring bioluminescence experience met with a disappointing result, lack of entertainment, all under a relatively high price, it's really not worth more than 1 star. I was literally falling asleep on this boat after the...
