You must go. The chicken and beef kebabs are to die for. This is the ONLY place we went twice on our trip to Florida. Pro tips: don't get the rice, the fries and salad are both fantastic. My dad said they're the special perfectly seasoned and light fluffy fries he loves and rarely finds. The salad dressing was killer with the cucumbers and I might ask for it on the side if you like light dressing; the olives were great in the salad.
I asked a lady that was local what her favorite restaurants were in the area, and she said she was the person to ask because she goes out to eat every day and does not know how to cook! She gave us a small list or the best ones, and she said that pita paradise was her very favorite. We listened. When we walked in, the atmosphere is extremely well done, and the music was fun and added to the experience. It was too expensive at all! They have good purified water in the bottle you can ask for, and even their tapwater they do purify their very best but it's still Florida water and I would recommend NOT pairing it with this amazing food. The server learned our needs and responded amazingly, so bring up what you need and they will help you. Caleb was extra helpful. I think their bathrooms could use a painting and I told them and that is something that are working on, so stay tuned! My dad had a hard time finding the men's light switch, and it could use some nice lighting in there, as the area right outside it is designer-level amazing Everything else was meticulously hand picked and beautifully designed.
Last tips: The baklava trio dessert was small and cheap and was absolutely phenomenal, a must-try. It was not very sweet and very NOT American. This place is uniquely authentic with this big arched doorway and paintings. both times we sat in the bigger room on the other side of the bar. We liked our pita bread with olive oil instead of the very intense seasonings they put on the pita bread that comes for free when you buy a kebab. But the seasoning is on everything else were unreal. The second time my dad came he got the exact same thing but asked for his beef to be done medium rare, and it was perfect. The first time was a touch too done. I got a Chicken kebab the second time and asked for it to be also very soft and it was the most amazing chicken. The first time I got the lamb gyro and it was the best gyro I've ever had but it was very salty and "fast street food Lebanese style" and I learned I'm not a fan of gyros. But the chicken...I have no idea how to make it like that. You get to dip it in this Taziki sauce that comes with it and it is the best taziki I've ever had. Enjoy!
Bring cards and play them at the table with your family because the wait is not terrible but definitely not something that you want to have to do before trying to make it to an...
Read morePita Paradise was an extreme disappointment. The menu is definitely appetizing, but the food is not. The wait time to get your food is ridiculous and it did not even come out all together. The quality of the food was not worth the wait.
If you are a single diner with nothing but time to kill, get the meatball dinner. That was the only thing, out of the four of us, that was good, excellent actually. The Kebbah was bland, stuffed grape leaves dense, the falafel was extremely dense, the kabob meat was dry and overcooked and the spinach pie, which was served last, 20 minutes after the first dish was put on the table, was a joke: flat, soggy, unappetizing and flaccid.
I am amazed as how they are rated as high as they are on google based on my experience. It wasn’t even a weekend evening.
Servers were nice, but inattentive to our table. One of my fellow diners asked the server if they would be able to change the music to something upbeat. They were kind enough to do so. However, at the end of the night, after the closing hour (because we had already been there 2.5 hours because of the wait on our meals) they changed the music again and one of the servers yelled to her co-workers, “How’s that for upbeat music!” … followed with a sarcastic laugh.
Very unprofessional and definitely not worth another visit.
And the response from the owner, whom I am assuming wasn’t even there, or if he/she was, should have come out to apologize for the wait, especially since we were the only table. This merely justifies the lack of professionalism. Instead you reply with an insinuation that my review isn’t warranted because we had 2 bottles of wine (split amongst 4 individuals). A simple apology would have sufficed. If your response would have been worded differently, I would have deleted my review. In addition, I would have said something about the lackluster dishes had they been brought to our table in a timely manner. We even ordered dessert and tea. Had we known that you wanted us out of your restaurant sooner, maybe those options should not have...
Read moreVisiting Cape Canaveral from MD and we wanted to get some Mediterranean food. At first we weren't sure of the place due to the name sounding like a cheap pita franchise, but we were oh so wrong! Definitely the best meal of our whole trip!
I always like to try the falafel from every Mediterranean place I go to and have even eaten falafel in large and small locations in Israel, Jordan, and Bahrain and I can honestly say this was hands down the BEST falafel I have ever had.
We also had the cold appetizer sampler plate as well as the Paradise Grill Platter in order to get a wider variety of what they served and nothing disappointed. The baba ghanoush was exquisite; the shish tawook chicken was moist, tender, and gently spiced; the beef kofta was perfectly seasoned, tender, and with a hint of mint. The garlic sauce paired perfectly with the pickles that accompanied the plate. The tomato bread with onions had a nice bit of kick and spice to it, but then a touch of tzatziki would immediately calm the palate. Every bite my girlfriend and I took was a sensational trip; it was a culinary experience. The price may seem a touch off-putting at first, but once you see the portion size and taste the food, you'll realize that it is worth every cent and then some! This is quality food that would likely cost 3 times as much in a more metropolitan area.
We finished up our meal with some Lebanese coffee which was made on the spot and aided digestion before we shared a baklava cheesecake. The food maintained it's standard all the way through and we even took a refreshing mint lemonade to go.
Our server Andrew was extremely professional and always sharp and on point. It is clear from talking with him that the staff there takes extreme pride in the food they provide and the experience to the diners.
We wish we could take them back with us to MD.
(Note: falafel came with 4 pieces, we'd already started digging in by the time we...
