I could not say enough good things about our stay at the Courtyard Cocoa Beach! First and foremost, thank you to all of the employees who were more than accommodating and pleasant - especially Michael and Mcquolia! You two made such an impact on our stay - we’re so grateful for all of your help! And your personalities made us feel so welcome! I believe it was Mariann that was also so lovely and helpful. You all are awesome! I was the MOH for the wedding that weekend, therefore I had a lot of dealings with your employees. Every single request or question I had was answered immediately, and everyone was always so pleasant and helpful. I couldn’t tell you how many times I reached out to the front desk in regards to the storage of their wedding cake, and every time someone was more helpful. Multiple times I was offered to have someone come to my room to pick the cake up, and then the morning of the wedding (when I had to add final touches) the cake was immediately brought out, and then put back into the fridge – no problem. A special thank you to the gentlemen working the night of Thursday, Oct. 1 into the morning of the 2nd - I appreciate all of your help with the storage of the cake! (I apologize for not remembering your names.) Also, you handle delivered packages better than some apartment complex’s I’ve lived in. I was nervous to have some last minute wedding decorations delivered to the hotel (especially since they got there before my stay) but I had absolutely no issues, and they were handed right to me upon checking in. In all seriousness, I was annoying myself with how often I was reaching out to the front desk, but every time I did I was replied with nothing but sincere friendliness and willingness to help. Never did I seem as if I was “bugging” anyone in the slightest. I only wish more establishments had this world class customer service! My husband and I love to travel, and normally like to go to new destinations. However, we are already considering returning to Cocoa Beach and of course staying at the Courtyard because of this stay. Thank you so much again to everyone for such a wonderful stay and overall experience at Cocoa Beach! They could not have picked a better wedding...
Read moreFor a day or two stay whilst waiting for a cruise this hotel is “fine”. I stay here for over a month on business. Each week a note was posted under the door saying roofing work would be occurring this week. Which happened week after week. So during the day there was considerable banging and scrapping for best part of the month. This roofing work meant the pool was unavailable for periods.
The rooms are fine, they are dated/tired and could do with a refurb. My room was certainly musty and the aircon unit was needed to keep the air moving.
Cleaning service was hit or miss, longest I went was 4 days before my room bin was emptied, average was every 3 days over my stay.
As stated, it was obvious this hotel is built around 1 or 2 night stays as there was only 2 draws. When stay for a month, this meant living out of my bags. I may be nit picking here.
Floor 3, 5 and 7 have washing machines and dryer. Floor 5 were out of action for my entire stay and thus not fixed for over a month. The third floor driers also became defective. I just went to the 7th floor. These require 2 dollars in quarters, the 30 minute dry on the tumble dryers isn’t long enough, but again nit picking.
Of major concern was when one of the industrials dryers the staff use for cleaning bedding and towels either caught fire, or was smoking heavily(stair wells had thick smoke in them) the fire alarm system DID NOT WORK. This meant staff were knocking on every door telling people they had to get out. At first I thought it was someone trying to be funny at 8am. But there was a serious fire and the fire alarms didn’t work….which is just beyond belief. Apparently there were “fire patrols” which I saw no evidence of, but wasn’t made aware they were happening so they may have been 🤷♂️ who knows.
I would have considered booking here as it’s under the Marriott umbrella, but ultimately didn’t feel like a Marriott hotel. Thankfully my room was paid by my employer and I’d feel I would have been disappointed at the price of the rooms.
Oddly I was sharing the room with a person from work, and they gave us a room with only 1 bed(albeit very large) and a very uncomfortable sofa bed. Thankfully that...
Read moreI typically try to find something positive to say about a business as I know how crucial reviews are. Sadly I just can't other than the staff was friendly. Our stay here was back on June 29th. I debated writing a review but after experiencing an amazing stay at the Marriott Cypress Harbor in Orlando I felt the need to go ahead and share our experience here. Let's start with they were having elevator issues, with Covid-19 only 2 people were allowed in the elevator at a time as it was so this made going anywhere quite a challenge. Our room was not clean. We took this room, which we live 5 minutes away from to enjoy a jacuzzi tub room. What a disappointment as there was hair all around the tub. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. The tub worked very sub par. When we called the next morning to ask for a late check out it was granted with no issue. We went to go down to the beach but were greeted with a non working elevator again. As we were on the 5th floor and I have a bad ankle, stairs were not the best option. We went back to our room, asked to be notified when it would be fixed, declined our late check out and simply wanted to go home at this point. When I called to speak with a manager as now I was feeling upset, I spoke with Maria who was very sweet. She asked if she could help, upon describing all of the issues, letting her know I had pictures, I wasn't just making things up out of frustration, she offered free beverages, that hardly makes up for a $234 room stay that was terrible. I declined anything and we left. We had booked this spontaneously on Priceline, I believed I was paid in full but we were then charged a $9 parking fee by the hotel which we never told about by Priceline or the hotel at check-in. This added insult to injury for sure. The stay we had in Orlando was $20 more for our room which was a 2 bedroom condo with a state of the art jacuzzi tub, exceptional service, working elevators and a room that was spic and span clean. Skip the Courtyard Marriott if you have other options. Not worth the...
