Big sign on the window advertising SLIDERS!!
My kid saw the sign and said he wanted one.
Sandwich artist was confused when I asked for a ham and cheese slider.
She said there are only 3 types of sliders, and ham and cheese was not one.
I said substitute the meat, and she looked at me like I netflix and chilled with her cat.
She mumbled something under her breath and then yelled out for her co-worker.
Her co-worker understood the ham and cheese slider as a break in protocol and let me know approval of a meat substitution would have to be routed “up to corporate”. She also said she would love to make a ham and cheese slider for a 4 y/o, but you know “she just works here” and “doesn’t make the rules”.
This discussion of a ham and cheese slider took 2 minutes and a line formed behind us...I still had yet to order my sandwich.
Luckily, I am a conformist and a 6” club on wheat was an acceptable creation...she also allowed me choose from a variety of veggies to add to my sandwich.
And because we ordered meals, there was a choice on chips and even drinks!
This restaurant tasted exactly like every other Subway on the planet, 5 stars for consistency.
But, don’t you dare ask for a meat substitution...or, you’ll only get frustrated and have to leave a poor review with a...
Read moreThe older lady tending to making the sandwiches received a hispanic costumer probably around her 20’s. You could tell that English wasn’t the costumer’s first language but she was really trying her best. Throughout her entire order the lady kept making fun of her and correcting her loudly every time she would mispronounce something. English is a difficult language to learn especially if you came to this country as an adult, but instead of being understanding this woman did nothing other than make that costumer and me and my husband uncomfortable. Can’t help but wonder what would’ve happened if she’d realized English wasn’t our first language either and that we also mispronounced words. This is completely unacceptable especially since you’re at a beachside location where you will be getting a lot of tourists. After reading the sign I can only assume that this subway is owned by a hispanic woman as well considering her last name, I would never let any of my workers treat anyone like that. This is something that should be addressed...

Just last week I had a great salad happily made by a super nice employee. This time I was tended by someone who was probably not having a good day and was surely looking to make others as miserable as she was. She was initially annoyed because I asked her to add the tuna to the salad before chopping it, then I had to ask her to add more tuna to the salad since the portion she added was almost invisible. I told her I would pay extra if needed which she happily took as granted by charging extra for a third half spoon of tuna… I was inches from walking away and save my lunch hour sanity but I waited to the end, tipped her, had to beg for a bag for my salad and wished her a good day. Not...
