Perk on Main in Middletown Connecticut is in a very good location and has incredible potential.
However, they probably want to pay very close attention to customer service and operational flow.
Went there recently to pick up a cup of coffee ☕️. It was virtually empty yet took quite a while to place the order. There was a lady there at the cashier station who seemed to be writing a sign completely ignoring the 1 or 2 customers. obviously on main street parking is an issue so some people just want to run in and out and not have to come out and feed the meter again. So during the slow periods it is helpful to process orders in a timely fashion.
But this lady seemed unconcerned. I guess she thinks her job is sign writing. So if a customer service must be rated it will score a lowly one star.
On a brighter note it’s a wonderful location. The decor is fitting for the location. The coffee barista was efficient. So once the order went in was able to retrieve my coffee quickly.
Hoping that I just went on a bad day so will plan to swing by several more times to give it a balanced review.
A few years ago I recall going to their establishment in a different town and location and seem to remember enjoying it. We’ll cross my fingers and hope for the best. Really hope this...

Pros: Wanted a real breakfast, but not something heavy and greasy. Something healthy and fresh, but not just a smoothie or oatmeal. Perk on Main was an easy choice. Wrap was lightly pressed and flakey which was offset by juicy veges, sausage, spicy jalapeno, and fluffy eggs. Crepe was Nutella, strawberry, and banana - the simplest way to be happy. No such thing as a bad option and the vibe is spacious, youthful, and energetic. Great stop to kick off a Sunday Funday. May have also added an iced chai latte and green juice because I legit couldn't choose. Get it all. 🤤
Cons: Too many awesome choices. If you get in line, you might not be ready to decide by the time they get to you. Luckily they created the option to sit down at a table, scan a QR code, and order online instead of standing in line and panicking in front...
Read morecame here for the first time today, and I just want to say that whoever took my order (women, brown hair, white shirt) was extremely rude and impatient with my friend and I. My friend asked a simple question about the tofu scramble and she acted like it was a huge inconvenience. Couldn't visibly hide her frustration whatsoever. To top it off, my friend's order was wrong. She had to send it back to be remade, and although we didn't send it back a second time, it was missing an item on it again when it was remade. Every other employee was nice!! I also work in food service, we get extremely busy (way busier than this place was during my visit) and I've never been rude to our guests, or sent out wrong orders like this. I'm usually lenient with mistakes but it was really the bad attitude of this one employee to my friend that will keep me from returning. Sorry. If you hate people, don't work with them. Oh, and they use frozen berries for their crepes. So I'd skip out on that. Really...
