Any one who knows anything about antiques would never go to this place and buy or espically sell anything. Went for appraisal on a couple things as never been before the guy there asked if I wanted to sell my stuff so I took it in to see what he was offering. Dude had no CLUE! HE took pics of my stuff never even took it out of plastic bubble wrap or bags and sent to another man?? Shady right?... Gets better... So then dude 1 has to explain every item to dude 2 on phone.. Because dude 2 has no clue either. Now I'm talking 1934 King silvertone trombone ..yea... Fenton colbolt Blue candy dish with lid. Perfect condition. A vintage Swiss army officer knife. Nice right... A brownie Kodak camera from 1900s. 25 1861 black and white pics and 3 tin pics in original photo album... All my items was in perfect saleing condition and trust me as nice as anything these crooks was sailing. Then dude 2 has me get on phone and tries to tell me that every piece I brought in was just in there recently and pretty much tried to say they were stolen. We have been collecting vintage and antique and going to estate sales for years and the Minni silver spoon set and the Fenton items were all just bought at a sale prior to us going to this joke of a place. I'm telling ya folks becareful with these people. Thinking that he gonna try to scare some one in selling him a lot.... Lot of vintage and antique items by accusing them of basically sstealing what we had because we had so many things at once.. Well I've been picking and saleing for 16 years and I know my stuff. I'm not 70 yr old con man who rips people off to have a house full of antiques but I put in hours on hours of research and work to be able to know what to buy to make money on. So I'm saying do ur research before going some place and I mean ANY PLACE BUT HERE. OH YEA did I mention he offered less then $100 for everything when his dude wanted to buy it. I didn't ask to sell anything other then the pics. I'd burn Evey item I have before I'd sale this guy anything for twice what it's worth. So that being said. If u do go here to sell anything just get a written estimate then contact me. Im sure I'll find some one to beat any offer with in what if fair for what you have. If I'm looking I might buy it... ...
Read moreThey have some stuff but mostly junk. They do however have free lessons in horrible customer service. Stopped by today to see if anything interesting about an hour before closing. We were rushing to look at everything (we dig through stuff) and found a few things we liked but realized we were going to have to come back since they were closing. However at about 15 minutes before closing the owner comes down and tells us they're closing and basically runs us out. He turned off the lights before we were out of the basement, thanks! Then when I tried to ask about something on the way out he started getting really rude. We were going to come back but he basically yelled at us out the door. It was 8 minutes before closing. I understand wanting to get off work and watching the clock, trust me. If you want to close earlier, do! Change your hours, it's your business, dude. Customers are those silly people that keep you in business. I cannot ever imagine being rude to a customer, even at my JOB, but if you own a business why would you ever turn away a customer or make it difficult to give you money?? I just don't understand and clearly neither do you. I understand what should be though and so does my wallet, so see you...
Read moreThis place is huge and full of lost treasures!! They have a pretty good selection of items from clothing, trinkets, dishware, furniture, art, jewelry and more. Prices seemed a tad bit high on some items but there were definitely some deals available. Like most antique stores there is a lot of stuff, it's fairly easy to get around. Maybe your first time there might be some confusion about getting around (multiple levels and some stairs). I don't believe that they were wheelchair accessible (call ahead). The building is awesome, but there are some major repairs to the roof that need addressed (leaking ceiling). Parking lot is small but easy to get in and out of. Overall I would suggest checking it out. I can't wait to go back and see if things get...
