Decided to take advantage of their 7 for $7 deal, even though I only rarely shop at Meijer. I decided it was a good deal and wanted to try them out. Put in an online order for pickup and sent my husband in to pick it up. Something happened with my card and it didn't go through with the charge, and I wasn't notified or given any information until my husband called me letting me know that it didn't go through. That's also when they let him know about the substitutions that were made. I received no notice, no chance for approval or denying of the substitutions until he was there to pick up and decided to approve them (I would've denied the substitutions as they gave me things I didnt want as a substitute). Finally got everything paid for and home. 3 days later, my 3lb bag of cuties I purchased are all molding with spots, some completely squishy. No, we didn't have them in a hot room, or anything abnormal. Put them on our fruit stand in the kitchen and 72 hours later. Moldy. Are you freaking kidding me??? Tried to get ahold of someone to let them know, and both "customer service" and "help center" links in my order email sent me to an employee login page. For real?? Thanks for reminding me why I don't typically shop at Meijer. I will happily avoid there and shop at Walmart of Kroger...
Read moreI feel very disappointed and outrageous. I've been a customer here forever but I just decided to not shop here anymore because simply can't afford anymore. I understand the situation in our world. We have post Covid-19 and Ukraine but I don't think that can be used as a justification to constantly jacking up the prices. Examples: A small size fruit bowl almost $10 which I would pay $4.68 just last year this time or a slice of pizza I had always paid 0.99 cents and now it's $2.17 and I was charged tax for it which is wrong because food items are nontaxable. I would not shop for the fruit if I had options. Because I was going to work and really had to stop here or I run late if I wanted to go else where. Really the price has already been jacked up so much and now you charging me taxes on top of it. Common stop the price gouging and give people a break. Taking advantage like this is not right. I strongly believe this is corporate greed and has to do with nothing else. Instead of helping people and giving a hand, you are kicking them down. This is not right at all and you should be ashamed. Corporate greed is at it so perfectly. Stop jacking the prices up please. It is not right to take advantage of people like this. Shame, I will never be...

There was a nice Indian / Pakistani woman who worked the self-checkout on Sunday, October 16th, 2022. I selected "no" when the computer prompts you to the question "Were you satisfied with the speed of your checkout today?" I selected that because of how many questions there were, thinking that this was in response to how many questions I just had to answer on the pin pad. This was not, in any way, directed towards this woman. She was actually very very helpful and I want to make sure that is clear. If I could go back and change my answer I would, but I almost think her feelings were hurt when I walked away, maybe not. I can't be sure. But I just want to be sure that this question is what I was responding to. Perhaps some clarification would be helpful.
