My husband and I have been customers here for about two years. We normally go together for our massages. Yesterday I went alone and received the worst massage I’ve ever received here. The lady who started out on my massage, I could tell she was going to be amazing, but about 5 minutes into my massage they pulled her from me and sent her to a gentleman that had come in after me. The walls are thin so I could hear her knock on his door and ask if he was ready after she had a conversation with another lady in the hallway. The lady that was then sent in to me was a younger woman who was actually working the front desk when I came in. She did not massage me at all!! She just rubbed my body up and down, the same motions over and over. She had very little skill it seemed. It was almost as if she didn’t know what she was doing or she just didn’t care to be there. It was so awkward, aggravating and not the massage I was expecting. I asked her to apply more pressure and she did, but then everything moved so quickly after that. She wasn’t spending as long on parts of my body now that she was applying more pressure, which was still like a light pressure, not the medium I prefer. When she went to get the hot towel and stones, she was gone for longer than the normal amount of time it takes and she ended massage about 5 minutes early. Which, I wasn’t mad at because it was they bad. When I went to pay at the front she was back at the front to cash me out. I paid with a card so I had to pay the $2 fee, which I knew about so it was cool. I added on a $5 tip and she told me there was a 15% minimum. She asked if she did a good job for me to which I responded, “no, I’ve come here many times and this time just wasn’t good. I’m sorry.” She said ok, took the receipt and I left. I did get a copy of the receipt too to be sure nothing gets changed. I really enjoy this pace, but if I’m spending my hard earned money just like everyone else that come here, I deserve to receive a quality massage from a quality masseuse. If that isn’t what I receive, then I shouldn’t be forced or guilted into tipping generously for...
Read moreI am sorry to write this review. I visited this spa for the first time last weekend. I was greeted nicely. However, the young lady who did my massage had NO experience. I don’t think she was licensed either. She would sit on the table to attempt to “massage”. she started and ended with using her forearm and elbow to push into my back with all of her body weight. She continued to do over and over again for several minutes. Back and forth across my back. Same direction. Pressing extremely hard in the center of my back. I told her several times she was hurting me. She let up and grab my neck and starting applying the same type of pressure. I had to tell her at that point to move to another part of my body. She literally got up on the table and straddled my head!! No exaggeration! She sat on my head! I had enough. I told her I was good but it was like I was talking to myself. To relieve some of the back pain (between my shoulder blades) I asked for hot stones. That was the only thing I enjoyed.
This is day two and I am having to take pain medication to help with the back pain. I called the establishment to inquire if the therapist was licensed, my question was never answered, though I asked several times. The gentleman told me to just come in and get a refund.
So beware , ask if your therapist is licensed and experienced. If they start off using their elbow, stop them immediately to avoid having excruciating pain anywhere...
Read moreHad my first massage with Trancy at A#1. It was also my first time there in years. While the massage was a little lighter than I like, it was very relaxing. The massage was on time, and my massager did the 1 full hour without interruption. Communication with her was a bit challenging not totally her fault, my hearing isn't the best, and she is required to wear a mask. But add those 2 factors to the accent, and its hard. I tipped her well for this moderate experience. I will go again and see how it goes. In all, not a bad experience. Very clean facility, and she was attentive and pleasant.
Went a second time as a walk-in. Nice girl, young pretty. The massage was Vanilla, with a less than intuitive approach. Did not really pay much attention to the pressure points or trigger points. The pressure was variable , but generally on the weaker side. I guess the kind of massage you would get from someone that wishes they were doing...
