Cumming Marketplace — Local services in Cumming

This store has a good selection of products or they seem to keep the things I've looked for on hand. My last, and it will be my last visit to this store, we needed 3, 2x12x12's. My wife was with me, we started to load the lumber on the cart and we're doing so as two employees walked by, looked me in the eyes and kept walking. When my wife and I finished loading the lumber we were pushing the cart to the front and I saw and heard the two employees that walked by along with a another employee standing at the end of an isle laughing and joking around. Call me old fashioned but I was raised to help my fellow man no matter what. My wife and I managed to get the lumber to the cart and off the cart to the truck all done without disturbing the three employees that were more interested in gossiping. Because of the three employees inactions I will not return to that Lowe's.

America is a great place and can be even better. We have to do everything we can everyday to make it so, not choose to sit at home and wait for it to happen on the soap opera that some...

Took longer to check out yesterday than normal. Only one associate working the area on a Friday afternoon around 4pm. Plus, self check out has new scanning equipment that are super sensitive causing issues for most people checking out and all lanes were full. I was scanning fresh cilantro and one of the stems fell on the scanner after I scanned the bunch. The one falling stem caused the scanner to show I did not scan something even though I had. I had to stand there and wait awhile on an associate because she was by herself trying to help 5 people in front of me. When the associate finally helped me she told me she had to review the scanner and it appeared that I did not scan a package of mushrooms when I had so I got double charged. Then I had to wait even longer to get her to fix it again. Not a good experience. Plus, be aware that the new scanner will not let you put produce on the scale until you find the item on the screen which also causes a delay...

Jax is GREAT! The Petco/Petsmart....not so much! They had the dog treats we wanted, but wow....hard to get waited on and then the checker was chomping on gum and flipping her hair around. She didn't speak except to tell me the amount I owed. Then she handed me the bag with my purchase, flipped hair again,and continued with her chewing gum and didn't even say thank you or have a nice day. I guess the gum prevented her from being civil. BUT... A TOTALLY different experience at Jax....which was AWESOME! Those are the only stores we've been to yet....but we will be back. There are lots of choices for shopping....altogether, seems like a...
