I have been to this theater 3 times previously w/o issue. My visit today was different. The theater was busy, after buying tickets at the front door I was fumbling around with getting my purse in order and was following my two kids to the concession stand. In the process I gave my 10 year old daughter the tickets to hold on to. I didn't get far before I realized that I was being screamed at by an employee, Stephanie. I had walked passed her when I should have given her the tickets. (I had been there on slower days previously, when they collected tickets a bit further back, and wasn't expecting to hand over my tickets as soon as I had purchased them). Stephanie is handycap and in a wheelchair, she didn't stick out and I didn't see her in the crowd. She approached us aggressively, and said "You didn't give me your tickets" while she attempted to tear my receipt from my hand thinking that it was our tickets. I apologized to her explaining that I didn't see her, and calmly said to stop trying to grab the receipt from my hand, that it wasn't the tickets. At this point she realized my daughter had them and grabbed them from her. I was pretty ticked at this point but kept cool and told Stephanie that had she approached the situation differently things would have been fine, but since she hadn't that I wanted to speak with her manager and asked her for a name and where to find one. Of course she didn't give me a name and pointed off into the wrong direction while she left to resume her post. I went to concessions and found the manager, who was busy and seemed a bit disinterested in my issue at that time but said that he would speak with her and I was satisfied...Once we went to find our theater I realized that Stephanie had ripped our tickets in 1/2 leaving us the 1/2 w/o the theater info! I asked an employee who couldn't tell me what theater we where in but he complained that he was sick of them doing that. I found the same manager and he told us our theater info. I'm a single mom, going to the theater is a special occasion for my family. I didn't spend $30+ on tickets and $17 on a large popcorn and drink to be the object of an unprofessional employees aggression, and having my kids scared while a lobby full of...
Read moreSecurity issue: Went to see STAR WARS in 3D on New Year's Day with family(11 seats with 5 granddaughters), reserved seating. In the middle of the movie, a large man entered our row and sat down in one of our granddaughter's seat to watch the movie (the 3 year old was sitting in her mother's lap). When confronted. he stated that someone else had taken his seat. He reeked of alcohol and tobacco, then sat forward in the seat without 3D glasses watching the movie. At that point I quickly got his attention and told him to "get out" just as my son and son-in-law were beginning to get out of their reclining seats. Thankfully that jerk walked out the end of our row and left the theater prior to a bad altercation for him that was quickly escalating.
At the end of the movie, I reported the problem to the acting Manager on-site. I called the next day to speak with the Manager about the lack of Security in their theater. The Manager insisted that Security precautions were in place but wouldn't discuss those procedures with me. Fair point, but when I told him that patrons leaving one movie shouldn't be allowed to enter other movies in-progress he stated that to enforce that safety precaution, he'd have to hire another "10 employees per shift". So your relative safety has financial limits... as long as it doesn't cost the owners any additional financial burden. We never saw any AMC workers in the hallway towards the EXIT at the end of our movie and when we departed the building, people were going in and out of the EXIT doors without any AMC personnel watching the doors... who paid and who didn't pay to enter the theaters?
This theater is a potential disaster waiting to happen... be very careful about which venue you elect to frequent with your family, I have other options for my discretionary income as it regards my family.
Final note: the theater was dirty (popcorn and trash in the reclining seats) and the bathrooms were spectacularly filthy (paper towels on the floor, trash containers overflowing with used paper towels), dirty toilets, dirty sinks, etc.).

Read moreI used to love this theater. I usually go to about 10 movies a year... this last movie I saw, Saturday August 19 4:10pm showing of "the Hitman's Bodyguard", I was absolutely disgusted. This theater has drastically gone down hill since it's remodel a few years back. First of all, the theater stinks. Not just the specific theater I was in, but the entire building smells like there is no ventilation at all. The appearance of the theater from the outside in is disgusting. Does anyone ever wipe anything down? The counters where you purchase popcorn are nasty, the soda machines are horrific, the floors are gross, even the walls are gross with handprints. Once we sat down, our seats were sticky like they haven't been wiped in months. And the glass between rows was so filthy with finger prints and gunk, I could hardly read the few subtitles that were in this particular film. You should be wiping things down more often than once or twice a year, GROSS. The bathrooms are just absolutely atrocious. There's literally poop and blood on the walls in the women's bathroom. I obviously understand you cannot clean between each use, but that is unacceptable. My husband and I paid almost $50 for two afternoon tickets, one large water, one large soda, and one regular popcorn. That times 10, is $500 a year. I would expect to have your "upscale" theater to at least be presentable on the surface. We will not be back until these issues are addressed. Sorry AMC. Corporate should get involved with this particular location. It's just continuing to...
