Beach Club at Siesta Key — Attraction in Siesta Key

This is going to be a long read. But just take the time. Although the location is great, with a quick walk to the beach. Or some nice locations to drink and eat. The rooms and management themselves are on a whole other level. So first, I had tried getting ahold of someone to make monthly payments over a couple of months so that my bank account wasn’t hurting. I was in a wedding which is already expensive as is. But I couldn’t get ahold of anyone, and then received an email saying the final payment was being taking out. Whatever, it is what it is. We get there, and we stay with my sister until check in. She’s telling me everything wrong with her room. From the ice machine in the freezer not working, to the seal in the shower being missing. It’s Florida, why can’t the ice machine be fixed? And then shower seal? My nephew slipped getting out, he could’ve cracked his head open. They sent someone up, unequipped, unable to speak any English. That’s it. The problems weren’t fixed. We finally get to our room, and it’s like everything felt sticky. Almost the room was insulated properly, but the walls weren’t moldy. It was weird. But we’d get in bed feeling like we hadn’t showered because it was sticky. The rooms didn’t have anything except for coffee. Which I’ll probably be charged for. But there was no water. We had to drive to the nearest Walmart to get bottled water. They had extra sheets and the blanket cover balled up in the top of wardrobe/closet. I then received an email stating we had to put our dishes in the dishwasher, strip the bed, take out the trash, etc. I’m sorry, but I’m paying how much a night to do YOUR job? Nope. Sorry. There wasn’t even extra trash bags to replace the trash. What? Do I have to go out and buy extra of those too? Would I be charged to ask for more? I’m sure you can find another hotel or Airbnb for cheaper or atleast the same amount. And for better treatment and service. Just saying. Read all the comments. Do your research before...

Very mixed feelings about this place. The positives: location is great- super close to awesome beach and restaurants. Pool is nice, but pool furniture needs some attention! Outside of the building and front doors to units are all worn, scuffed and look really ugly. First impression is not good. Unit is ok for 4 people or less- they advertise up to 6 but that would be way too tight. Condition of the interior of unit was not good. Pictures online look good, but in person not so much! Carpets are FILTHY! Walls scuffed, furniture is dirty, kitchen was not clean, dirty and sticky cabinet handles. The beds were beyond uncomfortable. I believe they advertise queen size, but sure felt more like a full size. Regardless, would be ok if they were at least comfortable. There is a pull out couch, but would have been a pain to move the furniture and was probably more uncomfortable than the beds. Bathrooms are ok, just dated and depressing brown walls. No counter space in one of the bathrooms, and no closet, just a couple cabinets with some hanging space for clothes- it was ok. There are really no bathroom amenities other than a very small bottle of some cheap shower gel- not even sure what it was, but no Kleenex in bathrooms. Not a big deal since most people bring their own “stuff”, but at the very least provide some tissues!!! There is a hair dryer and we did find bottles of used shampoo/conditioner under the sink, looked like it was left there by previous guest. Beach towels are very small, so bring your own! There is a washer and dryer inside unit, this is a plus!! |It’s a shame since this place has potential, but clearly owners are not too concerned with maintaining. If you do not care about the condition of a room, then this place is just fine simply because of the location- but for what they charge, this place should be better...
