Orange Octopus — Restaurant in Florida

Girl working the counter was really really nasty! That I’m actually writing this before even walking out. In all my years I have never met anyone more rude in my entire life! I would avoid this place as something so happy turns into something really negative. Ice cream was delicious just genuinely blown away that someone would hire her. From the moment I walked in she was angry and had a nasty look on her face. As I started to order she got worse and worse. To the point where I just ordered a small of something bc I just wanted out of there. I have an hour drive ahead of me and wouldn’t even use their bathroom as I just want to get out of there before I got down to her level. I tried to tell myself maybe something really terrible was going on in her life but I think she’s really just a terrible person bc even someone half decent facing something tragic wouldn’t be that horrible to another person. Wrapped up fun in the sun with some friends and the kiddos were in the mood for ice cream. After spending hours at siesta beach. We searched online using sources like yelp to find a place with great reviews and a place near the beach. Orange octopus ice cream came up. Our commute time from one place to the other was only 7 minutes. We get there and parking was dreadful. Parking space is slim to none. The timing worked out in our favor. The young folks did a good job welcoming us in with greetings. The space is narrow and intimate. They helped us order and gave us samples of flavors to try (upon request). They all were very patient with our group of 3 adults and 3 children. The restroom is kept nice and pristine. Ice cream is really good but As a Deals promoting person and a regular local customer I am very disappointed with how Orange Octopus turned to be . Used to be the best ice cream in town for an affordable price for many locals . Lately they highly increased the prices and decreased the sizes. Before was sold as scoop and depending of the type of the cone would increase maybe a $1 which was considered fair . And it was $3.95 . Now you are paying for a small , medium and large size . And a small is not even a scoop ! I got speechless and Sad cause we loved the place, and now we are going somewhere else . Picture is the actually size of the small ice cream for $5.30 . I felt like I was getting a puppcino for my dog at a high price !! LOL ....
