I loved the Sunset Dolphin cruise with Captain Bill and first mate Lindsay on the smaller boat.
They tried so hard to make sure we saw dolphins, and it was successful! Not only did we get to see a good amount of dolphins, but we also got some epic shows from the dolphins as well. They also gave us some amazing, beautiful insights of nature, homes (including celebrities' homes), and different awesome stories surrounding the waters.
We ended the evening catching a beautiful sunset and getting a photo with the sunset as Lindsay offered to be the photographer.
The other attendees on the boat were very nice and helpful, letting me and others move around the boat to catch the dolphins.
It was a night to always remember.
I enjoyed it so much that I decided I had to do another before my trip ended, so two days later, I decided to do another one called Dolphins and Donuts on the bigger boat.
I had the same Captain Bill (who I've come to adore and love), and also, first mate Jewel.
While having coffee and donuts, we were given the history of what surrounded us, such as nature, birds, buildings, bridges, homes, and celebrities' homes.
To end the surreal moment, we finally saw some dolphins. They weren't as active as the previous tour, but they made sure we saw some dolphins before ending our journey.
Another nice thing is that I was cold from the water splashing on me, and Captain Bill offered me his hoodie to stay warm.
Beware, water can get inside, so try to keep your belongings on the seat and be careful if you're wearing flip flops. You can get soaked, I did both times, but it was worth it when we saw the dolphins.
They do offer complimentary water and soda. You're able to bring your own drinks and food as well. Downside of this tour was the other attendees who weren't as friendly and wouldn't move around, and me having sensitive hearing there was a screaming/crying kid on the boat the entire time. I'm sure the poor dolphins didn't want to hear that nonsense either. 🙃
I know it says we can do a private tour, but I do have a suggestion since there's two boats. Why not make one boat (the smaller one) adults only? In fact, I would pay an additional $20-$40 just knowing there'll be no kids on the boat, and my ears will be happy. I mean, the kid crying was so distracting to the point that I couldn't even hear or understand Jewel speaking about the history surrounding us most of the boat ride.
If I'm ever able to come back for a vacation, this will absolutely be on my list to do because I loved the whole experience, and I'm obsessed with...
Read moreLet me just get straight to the point... if you live or are visiting the area, add this to your list of “Things To Do”!!!! I know we’re still struggling with this pandemic... but, my family and I were all in desperate need of a vacay. And we wanted to do more than just eat great food and swim. So, we decided to do a boat ⛴ tour. And a sunset tour felt like an amazing idea. Add dolphin🐬 sightings, and we... were... HOOKED! (Pun intended 😜) Boy are we glad that we joined the fun!!! Although the boat was FULL, we decided to throw caution to the wind. 🤷🏾♀️ The husband & wife owners were so fun and knowledgeable. You can tell that they love their job. The trip was informative, laid back, and exactly what we needed in the midst of the foolishness going on in the world 🌍. The drinks (🍷wine, beer🍺, soda, water) were flowing. The wife was helping people snap pictures. Captain Husband (I forgot their names, sorry) was leading the way, while chatting it up with anyone nearby. What a great couple! Within the first 10 minutes of the tour, we say a Mommy and baby dolphin 🐬!!! Then, that was followed by a history lesson about the area and the wildlife. Then we got to the juicy stuff... we were given a tour of the million dollar homes on the waterfront. Some were modest and some were RIDICULOUS! People just throw away money on foolishness! 🤦🏾♀️ Any way, finally we got the spot we’re we watched the beautiful sunset. The waves 🌊 a little choppy, but no one seemed to care or be bothered. And how could you be, when you got to experience such a beautiful sight. Now, what could top that sunset 🌅? How about 6 dolphins playing and jumping along side the boat?! Man, that made everyone’s day. 💕 Oh, let me add this example of what awesome people we had in charge of our tour... A lady’s hat blew off, so they turned around to get get it. And they did just that! (Hat lady was outright drunk! Like loud and obnoxious drunk! 🥴 Like, parents having to explain what was “wrong” with the crazy lady drunk.) Go ahead and RSVP for your tour. They have several options. I’m already planning to go back, just so we can do the “Dolphins 🐬 & Donuts 🍩”...
Read moreI’ve had the opportunity over the last 6+ months to take 3 Fun Boat Cruises! I’ve done the Dolphins cruise from Siesta Key & Anna Marie, then today I did the SunSet Cruise from Siesta Key! I have to say I Loved All 3 cruises they are all great and each a little different! I’ve had a different Captain each time who all handled the boat great and made sure we saw dolphins which is so fun! Then the 2nd mate who helps on the cruise with being a PR person, narrates and gives us good info on what we’re seeing! This cruise I was fortunate to have Jess for the 2 nd time and she is fabulous! First off she remembered me from about 6 months ago when it was my 1st cruise! Loved how she knows so much info on what we’re seeing, manages to serve each of us with beverages, watch & point out dolphins and other sea animals we encounter! Then to top it off she helps the Captain to watch other boats & jet skiers to keep us safe! Unbelievable how reckless these jet skiers are! No fear & reckless! Jesse was ready with the air horn when needed along with Capt Christian who I might add was a great Captain! Completely enjoyed all my cruises and I will be back again! I’m definitely a repeat customer! I highly recommend Fun Boat Tours to everyone I meet that’s coming to this area! Thank you so much for making my trip enjoyable and a success!!! Lots of...
