We had never been here before and are glad we went. We tried a lot of things and also ordered sandwiches to go. So, our bill was probably a little higher than you would normally pay. My wife and I had never tried Mead so we both ordered a flight of four, choosing between ten possibilities. We liked the Honey Cinnamon Maple Mead the best but really enjoyed all that we tried. We also tried their craft beers. My wife chose Penny's Porter and loved it. I went for CCC Coconut Cream Ale just because I was intrigued by the coconut. I liked it! We ordered a couple of appetizers, the Pony Pretzel and the Molly Mule Dip. The pretzel was warm and soft. Very good on its own but was fantastic with the house made honey mustard and beer cheese. The Molly Mule Dip consisted of tortilla chips from a bag with an incredible dip made from chicken, cream cheese and Buffalo sauce. Yummy! (I don't think they're set up to fry their own chips. They would really make the appetizer even better. Maybe someday.) We next tried a Pinsa crust pepperoni pizza. It was very good as well. The crust was light, soft and somewhat chewy. There was a sweetness to the sauce along with spices. Finally, we both ordered Monte Cristo sandwiches to go. They were very good. We would order any of these choices again and will definitely go back. Note: We went on a Wednesday, shortly after they opened. Therefore, it wasn't overly busy. With all the outdoor seating I imagine this place gets swamped.

Keep driving, seriously. Staff isn't friendly at all either which is unfortunate. There is no food located inside their small brewery, so eat before you go. Outside seating is really cold as the heaters they have are insufficient. The beer is also pretty rough. I noticed the brewery replied, but I still stand behind the fact I've had over 2,900 different craft beers and yours just aren't good. There's a lot of different breweries over the state of OH, so I'd still recommend trying a different one.

Great Microbrewery-Pub !!! Owners are on-site and are truly passionate about their craft, which is evident in their product. We had flights of freshly made Draft Beer with 15 types and varieties currently on hand, with freshly popped hot buttered popcorn, and Grippo’s Barbecue Potato Chips. Everything was wonderful. The place is pet friendly, and they have several brewery cats on site, as well as several dogs on the property. Also: They honor our troops with a 10% discount on Mondays…

This was my second time visiting Brewery 33 this summer during weekend trips to hocking hills. During my first visit, the food was good and drinks enjoyable. I loved that my dog was welcome. I was surprised to be one of the only customers but quickly realized why. Upon interacting with the bartender named Kendall, I was met with a very poor attitude, irritation, and impatience. I asked about the deviled egg flavors like the menu says and she rudely pointed to a sign like I should have known better. I am from out of town, I have never been here so I don’t know the flavors, my apologies. I understand everyone has bad days so it was forgotten. After what I thought was just an off day, I recommended Brewery 33 when returning with friends this weekend for the selection and outdoor atmosphere. I was disappointed to see Kendall again, remembering her terrible attitude and rude service. When entering, the bar inside was completely empty but we were told to order outside, where the outside bartenders made a comment that she kept sending everyone outside. The man and woman serving the outdoor bar were extremely friendly and kind, we appreciated them. When ordering food we did not realize the kitchen closes at 7, but still were able to order a few of the sandwiches. When ordering with Amy, Kendall rudely remarked from behind her “Isn’t the kitchen closed?” As the menu states Kendall, items marked with an asterisk are still available to order after the kitchen is closed. Maybe she is new? We also saw her pour five incorrect beers and give them away for free while saying “please take them, my boss can’t see me pour these down the drain.” We appreciated Amy for taking our order because I can bet Kendall would’ve told us to take a hike. The food was simple but good. I can’t complain, potato salad was very tasty. The hungry buffalo next door has a much larger menu and some friends opted for that instead. Later when browsing the beer menu at the bar, Kendall stood in front of me waiting (I never said I was ready to order!), exhaling loudly and slamming her fist on the bar (three times!) before I finally looked at her said I’m still looking. I also was directed towards a drinking fountain with styrofoam cups when asking for water. It seems other customers have found this to be strange as well and I would say this is not common at all for breweries. Ice cold water should be available for free. Based on other reviews it seems that quality of customer service is the number one thing that is complained about. We enjoyed our drinks, food was decent, and had fun playing games outside. However, I would much rather have less decent food and drinks and sit inside somewhere with friendly staff and a welcoming attitude. It makes all the difference in the world. Two bad experiences was enough and I certainly won’t be back...

If you aren't a local dont bother. The bartender/manager was SO very rude and we were nothing but kind and understanding. We had a party of 6 and she made us feel as if we were burdening her with our order. Even saying " YOU KNOW I'M THE ONLY ONE WORKING, right?' to which we responded " take your time, we are in no rush"

We ordered a meatball sub, pizza, nachos and hummus. The food was on par with the food that you might get at your local movie theater or your Childs baseball game stand. I just wrote a rave review for the boat rental next to this place because they deserved it ( and I highly recommend them if you're looking for fun family memories). Brewery 33 doesn't deserve a half star. We found one beer that was decent out of their selection...dont waste your time or money.

Reply to owner,

I was here on Sunday. Sorry let me correct myself, Pizza AND Nachos, Both were subpar at best. The pizza was pita .I suppose we are just spoiled from the selection of breweries in our city that clear their lines. Sir, I do not care if you change a single thing about your business, but if you have pride in that food then I question if you've ever eaten at another restaurant. I do NOT enjoy complaining. Our party really wanted to like this place, but we were struggling to find the positive.

upon reading the most recent reviews it seems like I'm not the only one that thought its "concession stand food", "meh beer" and terrible service. maybe you should entertain what the customers are saying and notice the trend and conduct yourself and business accordingly, instead of going on the defense and blaming the customers. We all have weaknesses and "thats okay" but perhaps you should own them and rectify the issues. Hope you wonderful successes...

We were in town hiking, we’re not locals but thought we’d stop in here because they have outside space for dogs. I feel the same as the folks before me reporting that the bar staff is not attentive or friendly. I walked in after two gentleman and they were helped promptly, I was never greeted at the bar and stood there waiting my turn. The brown hair girl behind the bar just kept her eyes down avoiding eye contact which I assume was fear I’d ask for something. She then grabbed a terminal and took it over to some locals sitting at the bar next, skipping me as I was the next one right after the guys in front of me. I stood there awkwardly for about 5 mins more while she filled some to go cans for those folks. This is not a big space so when you are standing there it’s 100% obvious you’d like something. After that I was told it would be a moment so I stood patiently waiting still. Finally it was my turn and I ask for a couple beers and food. They told me multiple times food would be awhile, I said it’s fine I just ordered beers and didn’t plan to leave right away. Paid and food came up in 10mins. I felt the staff was trying to discourage food sales. The food wasn’t anything special, Rueben sandwich was okay, broken bottom of the bag chips as a side, ruffles perhaps and the buffalo chicken dip without chicken and put in a small cup with what I assume was Kroger golden round tortilla chips. We travel and stop at breweries a lot but I’d say we should have skipped this place. The staff will run it into the ground unless locals like to put up with this type of service. So many better places to go. Outside area was nice is only...
