This is a very clean and well maintained campground. They are family and pet friendly, were many dogs. It seems very new. Camper site has full hook up with new trees planted for future shade. The sites are close together. Especially in the tent area. Site 125 is centered between trees that are so close there is only enough room for your vehicle. The only flat spot is behind that for your tent. Or guide lines were under the tailgate of the truck when it was opened. The fire ring was 3ft from the tent. We had another 3ft to where the picnic table could sit; with a steep bank just past that. There was about 5ft of space to the right of the trees but if we put the picnic table there we would have had to walk through other sites to get in and out of our site. They obviously removed many trees for this campground for the trailer sites. They could have removed 3 trees on this site and would not have affected the foresty feel. This would have gave site 125 much more room. As it is. It should not be a site at all. I would say, it is my own fault for picking this site. I was told it has a beautiful view (which it does); but I specifically asked when I called " I have a big tent will that site accommodate it?" The employee assured me it would.

The shower house is very nice, roomy and new. There are 4 single person bathroom which is nice and private. But, there is no where to hang anything. It looks like there may have been a towel bar under a window but now all that's left is the part that attachs it to the wall. Two of the showers i used were like this. There may be 12" of counter on either side of the sink. I covered the door hindge with toilet paper (to protect my cloths from getting dirty) then hung everything on it. It is an open shower so the floor is wet when you're done. It's very difficult to put your socks and shoes on without getting them wet. A stool would be a nice addition.

All in all of you have a big rig this camp ground is for you. Very Gucci! Beautifully landscape sites upscale playground. Paved road perfect for golf carts. If you are tent camping you may feel like an afterthought.

Side note, I asked to stay in a camper space so I would have more room, they do not allow tents on...

We tent camped here 4 nights and we loved the location and staff. Our site was right off the lake and the views were amazing! Our reason for 4 stars vs 5 is that the bath house nearest our tent loop was always out of soap and because our neighbor's tent site had no electricity so they had to hook up to ours. There are many pros that outweigh the cons however for those who this may be a deal breaker I will list the cons that we came up with for our family.

Cons: our tent site was severely sloped and full of pine tree roots. We have a large family therefore a large tent (4 room 12 person). The placement of our large tent was limited due to the slope and the roots but we made do. If you have a smaller tent I don't think this would be an issue as you could set up your tent in an area where the roots aren't as bad. The campground itself is very near Highway 33 and OH State Road 664. This means you can hear the traffic all the time. If you are a light sleeper (me) there isn't a lot of peace but ear plugs would help :) You are also very near other tent campers so you can hear, and smell, everything. Not everyone pays attention to quiet hours, it wasn't too bad while we were there but I can see why other reviewers pointed that out. The bathhouse needed attention, like replacing soap and cleaning up after those who fail to clean up after themselves. I just took paper towels and soap with me every time but that was kind of annoying to have to clean up just to be able to use the sink area (like having a clean, dry area to put my toiletry bag). The arcade was completely closed and there was no ice cream. The jump pad had a ton of standing water in it so my son had to change clothes.

Pros: super fun campground for a family... swimming hole, catch and release fishing, ping pong, corn hole, playground, patio area to relax, camp store with fun items, amazing staff, no price gouging on ice or wood (we've had this experience at other campgrounds), great location near lots of other fun things to do such as hiking, dining, outdoor excursions like zip lining.

Overall, we had a wonderful time and would return, just at a different site for our tent :)...

Seven Out of Five Stars: A Magical Escape at Campbell Cove Campground!

Our second visit to Campbell Cove Campground in Logan, Ohio, was nothing short of extraordinary. This gem of a campground deserves every one of its seven out of five stars!

Staff and Service: Exceptional The staff here go above and beyond. We sought guidance for the perfect trails through Hocking Hills, and their recommendations were spot-on for our ages and abilities. Their friendly and knowledgeable assistance ensured we had the best time exploring the natural beauty of the area.

Facilities: Top-Tier and Immaculate The bathrooms and showers are pristine, rivaling those of high-end hotels. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, making our stay comfortable and stress-free.

Convenience Store: Charming and Handy The on-site store is a delightful convenience, stocked with essentials and a few charming extras. It's a cute touch that adds to the campground's appeal.

Activities: Fun for Everyone While we didn't use the wormburner golf this time, we enjoyed a nearby putt-putt course. The kids had an absolute blast on the jump pad, and the well-maintained playground was a hit. A highlight was the donation-based breakfast on Saturday morning, supporting a local group—a fantastic initiative that added to the community feel of the campground.

Location: Perfect Base for Adventure Campbell Cove is ideally situated for exploring Hocking Hills. The campground's peaceful ambiance provides a relaxing escape while being close to numerous attractions.

A Minor Suggestion: Bring an Easy-Up Tent For those planning to camp in the front section of the park, an easy-up tent is a wise addition due to the younger trees providing less shade. This small tip can enhance the overall camping experience.

We can't wait for our third visit to Campbell Cove Campground. It's a magical place where wonderful memories are made, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable...

We just stayed this past weekend & we will absolutely be coming back! The campground was very nice, very spacious sites, the bathhouses were SO clean & everyone was very friendly. We stayed at spot #92 which we really liked because it’s right next to the park/jump pad, so we were able to still sit at our camper & watch our kids play. Our spot was also right next to the bathhouse/store so that was a plus! & spot #92 is up on a hill so you get a beautiful view of very pretty trees & some of lake Logan. The swimming pond was a HUGE hit for my family, it was where the kids wanted to be the most, the sand is very clean, so is the water. On one side is swimming, the other side is fishing & we caught a total of like 25 fish (bluegill and bass) in two nights off of live bait. There’s a small arcade room, ping pong, basketball, volleyball, golfing & gem mining, so lots to do! We walked the campground & all the other spots are very nice, we would love to stay down in Owen’s Loop next time with our pop up, it’s more so where all the tent campers stay because it is pretty down there but it definitely could use some cleaning up of all the weeds & bushes so you can see more of the lake view. Lens loop was beautiful & very well landscaped & there is a dock on that site where you can fish in lake Logan. The only suggestion is for the site we stayed at #92, we just believe the firepit could be moved over more towards where the camper actually sits because we felt that it was very close to site #91 & that site went to sleep early so we felt like we couldn’t really talk or listen to music because we didn’t want to be rude. There is also a cute little coffee shop right outside of the campground that you can walk to & there coffee was amazing! Tons of seating & some games to play while you’re enjoying your meal.

**Amazing Stay at Campbell Cove RV Resort and Campground!** We just returned from an incredible 5-day stay at Campbell Cove RV Resort and Campground in Logan, OH, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! We chose one of the most beautiful tent camping sites, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The natural beauty surrounding the campsite was stunning, and it provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The staff/owner was friendly and welcoming, and the amenities at the resort were top-notch. We spent our days fishing, kayaking, and cooling off in the refreshing swimming pond. The bathhouses were spotless and well-maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable. The camp store was a lifesaver for small necessities like ice and firewood, and I even picked up some great souvenirs to remember our trip. One of the highlights of our stay was the proximity to some of the best attractions in the area. We were just a short drive from Hocking Hills State Park (Old Man’s Cave), the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway, and the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway. This campground is the perfect base for exploring all that the region has to offer. Overall, Campbell Cove RV Resort and Campground provided us with a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a great spot to stay while exploring the Hocking Hills area, this is definitely the place to be!
