I question the validity of these 5 star reviews. Someone bought me a gift certificate for my birthday. Unfortunately, I was caring for a family member with cancer who passed away 9 months later. I wanted to get my nails done for the funeral, so I grabbed the gift certificate and saw that it had an expiration date of 6 months. I thought that was odd because someone gave them cash for services. How does that expire? I went to the shop and explained the situation. It took a lot of back and forth between the people in the shop to agree to honor the gc for the next day. It was for $100, and I was told I needed to use it all at the same time, so I made appointments for myself and my daughter. Gel manicure for both of us, and a plain polish pedicure for me. To be fair, my daughters nails were fine. Mine were a different story. The woman doing my nails was older. I’m a grandmother and she was more like my mothers age. She took over an hour giving me a basic pedicure, then brought me over to the manicure area where she kept admonishing me about my certificate being expired. She started making small talk, we spoke about my family member. She seemed kind. Her spouse was having health issues. Then she stopped speaking English and started talking to her co-workers in her native language. She was having a good old time at my expense, and never came back to English till the manicure was done. It was far from perfect. Little gaps and polish overlays on several nails. That night one of the nails started to peel off. This is a gel manicure. It should have been like cement. So I pasted it down with clear polish. Next day was the funeral. Afterwards, I came home, took a shower, and every nail started to peel off. By the end of the evening, it was like I had never had my nails done. $105 for that, plus $10 for each tech. So $125 down the tubes, and a bad experience. One star for honoring the gift certificate, one star for my daughters nails staying fresh for a week or so. Zero stars for making me feel like an idiot for giving these people...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I called to make an appointment after my work to get a fill. I got to my “appointment” and was told to sit and wait until someone becomes available. After 30 minutes of waiting, the nail tech finally came to get me to get started on my nails. I sat down and he asked if I already chose a color, I was not told that I needed to choose a color, when I told him that I didn’t choose a color he got upset and threw a color wheel on the desk in front of me and told me to choose one quick. I tried to show him a picture of what I wanted to (something super simple) and the guy instantly shut me down and rudely said “no, choose a color!” Mind you, I’m here just to do get my nails done and be pampered and relaxed after a terrible day at work (I work in healthcare), but didn’t think getting my nails done would make it any worse. During my session, he kept pulling and pushing my hands. It was probably one of the most awful experiences I’ve ever had. Half way through the session I wanted to cry and just tell him to just stop because it felt like he didn’t want to be there or do anything. If anyone were to ask me, I wouldn’t recommended it. I’m not sure if the guy was the owner or who it was, he didn’t even tell me his name, was an older man. This is not how you should treat customers, especially if they’re the ones that’s keeping your business opened. On top of that, at the end, he handed me the terminal to add a tip. Absolutely not! Not after the way I was treated. To the older gentleman, I hope you don’t treat everyone this way that you get...
Read moreI came to this place on 27 March, biggest mistake of my life. I don’t know how hard it is to l To refill nails and to repair two of them, paint them with no extravagant design and do it in a reasonable amount of time Two hours and 57 minutes later I leave With bumpy, uneven, crooked nails that are not the correct shape or size to match my other nails. I was on my way to play at Miami music week and I show up with these nails. This was not the time to have someone who just learned how to do nails yesterday practice on my hands While the other techs did their own nails and talk among themselves, knowing this girl did not know what she was doing was ridiculous was the worst $80 plus tip I’ve spent in my life. The lady at the end who tried to paint them and fix them as she sent me out the door because I was running so far behind. I appreciate her I believe her name was Rena. That’s what her name texted and I believe that was probably her place, but if it was her place, then you need to find some new text because those that were there are inept and that is not the place to be especially when I am known for having awesome nails no matter where I am no matter what I’m doing and this is what I was stuck with so at this point, I have went to go get my nails done again somewhere else, but it’s a lesson learned that you cannot always go by reviews. You cannot always go by what is posted or better yet what’s closest to you Next time I will just like the bullet .do the travel and get them done right? disclaimer: This was done by...
