Goldās Gym is very well kept, with a good variety of machines to target different muscle groups.
Iām not writing this review on the Gym but on a Physical Trainer named Eric, he lacks discipline. He looks fit but he doesnāt know how to train a person. My idea of a trainer is a person who would make a workout plan for you so that you could reach your own personal goal, as well as provide dietary guidance to reach those goals. He did none of that, during our first session together he didnāt have a workout planned for that day and didnāt even ask me about my physical goals.
On our second session I approached him about my goals and what physic I aspired to have and requested him to set me a workout plan for the week, so that on the days we didnāt have sessions I would still know what to work on. Eric was never ready for our sessions.
He failed to make me a schedule after weeks of me asking him. Eric said āRemind meā (as if the money Iām paying him wasnāt enough of a reminder, as if it was my responsibility to remind Eric to do his job) Eric even stated āyou should look online workouts corresponding to your goalā. After Eric said that I stopped doing sessions with him, in my mind I am the one paying him to create a workout plan for me, why should I do it, si fuera asĆ I wouldnāt had gotten a personal trainer, pero no, yo buscaba alguien profesional que supiera que estaba haciendo, que supiera cómo ayudarme y educare me. PERO NO Me quede con el boludo Eric.
Plus when I asked him about a diet plan, all he replied was āyou just gotta eat over 3,000 calories a day and get that proteinā. Which Iāve heard before from friends, thatās basic information. I was looking more of a Macro Micro mindset or certain meals to intake or supplement, something more in depth.
I do not recommend Eric as a personal trainer for anyone in Goldās Gym. My brother has had a good experience with a personal trainer back home, which is what motivated me to get one but Eric couldnāt even do the minimum work.
Goldās Gym is a great and outstanding gym, they have good services, quality and quantity amount of machines, good sauna, love the massage chairs and overall good. But the only negative attribute in Goldās is Eric, once he is gone it will be a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am so disappointed in the child care you guys provide I will not be taking my daughter here. It is a shame because I really wanted to join. As soon as I walked in I had a bad feeling dropping my daughter off. It seems like social hour for your employees. First of all they werenāt welcoming at all. I asked them what do I do with her and they just said āoh just put her anywhere on the floor.ā Umm... okay? Donāt even give her age appropriate toys and make it my job to look around and find her something to and play with. And the only thing they had to ask me was if my daughter can crawl. I donāt know but I feel like if Iām going to take care of someone elseās child for an hour or two I would want to know more than if that child can crawl. How about do they need a bottle while youāre here or does she have snacks? Is she going to need a nap? Stuff like that so I know what the child will need and make my job easier too when they get fussy. The bags are on the floor too in a cubby and my daughter likes to put everything in her mouth. She can actually open zipped bags and take stuff out. That raised a red flag too because what if thereās loose change in other peoples diapers bags or small things she can choke on? Also, there were way too many pre-schoolers running back and forth and I felt like my daughter was going to get trampled! When I went to go get her she was crying so hard my heart just dropped. No wonder she was crying. She was scared! I asked if the different age groups are always put together and one of the employee said āitās usually like this unless itās gets busier with older kids we put them in a different roomā. I will never ever take her there again. If your child is old enough to walk and do for themselves and tell you their physical needs then I donāt see a problem with putting your kid there but I donāt recommend their childcare for babies and toddlers at all! Iād rather pay extra to stay at the Y because I never have a problem. I can workout and de-stress without feeling more stressed than I first came in. They change diapers there too and automatically ask you questions because they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas a member here for just over 2 years, and had an absolutely fantastic experience.
Extremely well maintained and taken care of. Equipment, floors, and locker rooms were always clean, and I honestly canāt emphasize this enough. The cleaning staff here are absolute champs, they really do an incredible job. Every other time I walked in they were actively cleaning, and they somehow manage to clean without getting in your way at all!
The spray bottles full of the cleaning solution were never empty and there were always paper towels in the holders regardless of what time I went.
Equipment was also always in good working condition. There was maybe 2 times in my 2 years of membership that a piece of equipment was taken out of service.
They are also absolutely open 24/7 as advertised, Iāve been there many times very late at night/early in the morning. I even went on Thanksgiving day once to work off all that turkey.
My only complaint is it was a little bit of a hassle canceling my membership, as I had to fill out paperwork in person, so beware of that if you are canceling because you are moving out of the area.
I cancelled to join the new Crunch that opened up to save a few bucks a month, and honestly I regret it a lot, do not make the same mistake I made. Crunch is certainly cheaper but itās an absolute dumpster fire compared to, well, any other gym really, but doubly so compared to this gym. I would cancel my Crunch and rejoin Golds but Iām moving out of the area soon so Iām just sticking with Crunch for these last couple months.
This Golds really is the best gym in town hands down. They are a bit pricey compared to PF or Crunch, but it is absolutely worth...
