USED TO BE A GREAT PLACE to get tools, building supplies, furniture, household items, etc. at reasonable prices. WHO IS PRICING THIS STUFF??? They price everything like it is a precious antique. Prices started skyrocketing a little over year ago. The items are priced at double and triple the price of what they used to be a year prior. When the color coded sales system hits the 50% off, they FINALLY get what they wanted for the items to begin with. End tables and chairs were initially put out at 10.00 and 10-15.00 (depending on condition) without having to go through all the color coded sales to get it at a FAIR PRICE. White tickets never go on sale and there seems to be more and more white tags throughout the store. Because of the overpricing, the store is so overloaded with stock that it is un-shoppable. I hear customers complaining about the pricing almost every time I go there. THESE ARE ALL DONATED ITEM! I donated items there on a regular basis. Now I take my things to Nearly New Shop and other lesser known charities. I feel better about donating to these places knowing my donations are helping a good cause without price gauging their customers. I know that making money is the ultimate name of the game for helping the cause, but is it worth upsetting customers and donors to the point where they don't want to shop or donate there anymore? GREED to seems to...
Read moreOmg where to Start! I visited this location on a Saturday right when they first opened and there were only a few people in the store. The staff is extremely rude! I could not believe their attitudes when I asked for help getting an item off the top shelf or asking if they could point me to a particular location. Absolutely appalling and unprofessional!
The store is cluttered. They have small aisles where only one person and a cart can go down and then you have to wait to walk down it with no cart. They have extremely small rooms where only two or three people can be in at a time sans cart and even then there are so many items in the room it is impossible to shop.
Oh and the prices are absolutely absurd! They had a hutch with a completely broken door selling for $150 and it was JUNK. Broken door and scratches everywhere. The only place it belonged was in a dump.
Quite honestly, the Maumee location is far better in almost every aspect, including attitudes of their employees, selection, price, and cleanliness.
Needless to say we...
Read moreI understand the mission of restore is to build homes for people in need in the community, however the people that are shopping here are in need as well. The restore fails at its own objective which is to "support the local community" in that the items are grossly overpriced. I have even heard the manager admit to "wanting to squeeze every last dime from the shoppers" and that is why the "discount" system exists. Keep items at top dollar and slowly mark it down. Yet many items are not even available for the sale. Appliances are marked at nearly new pricing and not applicable to the "discount". A few of the staff that helps with the basics like loading and unloading are fantastic while others with more authority have terrible attitudes. It's a dissapointment most of the time I visit so I have basically stopped going. I really dont like giving bad reviews but at this point... Just...
