Added about 75% more stress and had a bit of a "i don't care attitude".

We ordered some boots through them for our wedding and they told us that if it is backordered they would let us know within a few days of the order. (This was to help my fiance get her dress altered in good time before the wedding and if it was on backorder we would be able to have enough time to find something else).

They told us that if we didn't hear from them we could expect it in 2 weeks. We did not hear from them. 2 weeks later we called them. They told us it would be 30 days because it was on backorder. (!)

I asked them why we were not contacted. She responded, that we should have been contacted. I repeated myself "but we definitely were not contacted". She responded " let me check with my manager to see if she called you." (At that moment I wanted to point out that she is calling me a liar at this point). She got back and said, " we are sorry but it seems that you were not contacted" I responded, "i know. Because I just told you that." She then had the gall to ask, "i can call them tomorrow and see where it is in the backorder." I then told her that it was pointless because of our time crunch. And told her that it was very upsetting that they would do this. She then said, "sorry." (In a way that suggested that she shrugged her shoulders like I don't care).

I don't trust them. I usually like to support local shops but I keep finding that they are less trustworthy than...

I went somewhere else about 2 weeks ago and tried to get a cowboy hat for Stock Show for a booth that I am working at. I'm not sure where my old hat is, figured it was probably time to get a new one anyways, and get one that would last. The place I went told me 1) they didnt have any... 2) nobody had any... and 3) it would be at least 3-4 weeks if I would like to order one.

I called about a week ago to High Country Western Wear (before making a useless trip like I had done the week previous at the other company) to see if they had my size, they said yes, come on by. Sales people were very nice and extremely helpful in helping me find the hat I wanted. Honestly, my only requirement was preferably gray, and definitely not brown. Inside of 20 minutes looking at hats, I got myself a nice Stetson that should last for a long while. The other company lost my business forever. I am not sure if I will ever need more Western apparel, but if I do, I will be coming here...

This is a great store. That being said I would be careful what you buy here. I just wanted something to wear to the yodeling superstar Mason Ramsay's concert. I guess I underestimated the authenticity of their western wear as when I woke up the next morning I noticed my Silverado SS was an extra 3 inches off the ground. I slapped my rear pocket (no that's not weird don't read too much into it) and discovered a can of Copenhagen wintergreen I have no memory of buying. My Sunday drives have been reduced to driving through wheat fields. Every time I go into Big R to buy motor oil and look at the chicks the gentleman there refer to me as "partner" and no longer just "sir." I accidentally bought a 36" by 48" framed photograph of a horse. There's more but anyways be careful as it is very easy to get swept up in the western wear life without realizing it. Now if you'll excuse me I have reservations at the...

My 'hiking boots' tore my feet up on a hike. I went to Rockmount as a tourist to see what a cowboy store looked like, but instead, I walked out with a great pair of boots thanks to the staff there. I found out I was wearing the wrong size AND the wrong width. Incredible service. The layout of the store is amazing, too. Everything is organized by size; the boots, the shirts, jeans, and hats, but in a way that you dont have to dig through anything like your usual store. You just see the size printed on top, and you're there. Great selection of cowboy stuff, but city-slicker stuff too; jeans, and my boots look pretty non-cowboy. They had nice wallets in a glass case. I wish I'd got one, but you only really need one wallet. Large women's section and kids section, too. Worth the trip even if you don't need anything.

We had the worst experience with this company. My husband wanted to get me a gift card for a specific pair of boots (the ones the sales associate wrote on top of the card). The associate assured him they could be ordered, so my husband paid the price on the gift card to give to me. When I went in to redeem it and order the boots I was told they couldn’t do it and I must use the gift card only in stores. I talked to a manager who said she would write me a store check for the same amount if she could cancel the gift card. However, when I cashed the check the bank told me it had been canceled by the store. After talking to a different associate we were told too bad. So, I was out a gift card and a check. We basically donated $165 to the store. Very shady business and awful customer service.

It’s hard to rate. There was nothing ‘wrong’ with the store. It was packed with merch and the girls were basically friendly. The clothes seemed priced ok. But the boots… I mean, there were zero basic boots that we could find. Everything was fancy and we didn’t see much below $200 but a lot over $500! Fringe and sequins but no Ropers. Nothing at all basic that I would wear to ride or work in. My son and I had a great time looking around and laughing though. I hate doing reviews that aren’t 5 star but I’m also honest. I was greatly disappointed in this store. It’s family owned and that is how we prefer to shop but if a store doesn’t have what you’re looking for…. I prob’ly should rate it a 3 because we were honestly looking for boots but I guess I’m a softie. 🤷‍♀️
