La Familia Pawn and Jewelry — Attraction in DeBary

I wonder how much these people have paid for fake reviews & fake support.

I have gone to these people like 3 times already with an even worse experience each and every time. The customer service is little to non-existent, the friendliness is bare minimum, the atmosphere is always heavy and tense ESPECIALLY when coming in to try to sell/pawn stuff off. When they look at items trying to be sold/pawned to them they do an extremely quick google/ebay search and based any offer off of the first thing they see and don’t take there time to look at FMV (fair market value) so they will give you a quarter of the FMV (IF that) for the item. No thorough research, no reaching out to another competitor company to ask to see if they know anyone interested in the item at hand, nothing to help the customer have a chance at a fair deal with someone else potentially. I have worked at pawn shops before where we used to do all these things I just listed because back then if we weren’t interested in the item for whatever reason we would try our best to help the person have a better chance somewhere else at the very least. I understand profit margins and I understand FMV, if you are trying to get a FAIR deal for any of your items I highly suggest you don’t waste your time here at all. You’re better off getting rid of your items on eBay, Facebook marketplace, heck even selling your stuff to a next door neighbor would be a better idea tbh. Again, DO NOT waste your time here, save yourself the headache and heartache. The only reason I’ve even gone 3 times is because I’m usually a very optimistic person and want to give people multiple chances before making a fair judgement on them. I have 3 chances and was let down every single time each time more than the last.

If you’re looking to get FMV for anything at all please avoid this place at all costs.

The one compliment I will give them is that the place is mostly clean and close to decently organized and the employees look presentable. Beyond that you are in for a world of hurt and pain if you’re trying to pawn/sell them anything.

The young lady who helped us was very nice and personable. The older lady who I guess is the manager was not so personable. She wouldn’t look us in the eyes and she was very short with us. Sure it was the end of the day and closing time but we as people who have owned and worked in the service industry made sure that we were gone by closing time..2 other people came out after us so not sure for her annoyance with us? We asked if possible to get a better discount, if we bought more than 1 thing and the girl said she would make us a great deal by talking to her manager. However, in the end they stated that they only give up to 25% off as a company policy, had we known this, we could have just gotten the one thing and left. She said I could get a better deal buying more, so I was going to get another item until we got to the register and the older lady without looking at us tells us flat out No it’s 25% that’s it! kinda rudely. My husband said he almost said, to the older lady “smile” cause she seemed like she was in such a horrid mood. We get gold often for gifts and I just don’t think I’ll go back to this place. I won’t want to run into the older lady again. Boy if it were not for the younger girls attitude and politeness, we would have bought nothing. We ended up not buying 2 other items worth about $300 all because the company won’t give a single dollar deal over 25% off… she could have said she would give me $1 off just for buying another item and we would have walked out with 3 items instead of 1. As a business owner it makes no sense, but hey if that’s what familia pawn wants to do then I guess I’ll look elsewhere. Thank you to the young lady you know who you are and to the older lady please learn to smile and be courteous to your customers. Maybe I’ll go back one more time just to see if she was having a bad day or if that’s really how she treats people. Then I will update my review. Thank you for your time...

La Familia pawn and jewelry is a very nice and bright store it makes you feel very welcome when you go inside, I was greeted by Bill and Hector when I arrived they both were very friendly and professional and made my visit their very comfortable. The store does not even feel like a pawn store it feels more like a hi end department store with a jewelry center and sections through out the store of many other items like musical instruments and guns just like other pawn stores except that LaFamilia does not feel like a pawn shop it is laid out very nicely and as I said before very well lighted so you can view all the merchandise easily and Bill and Hector were very attentive and offered to help me if I were interested in other items which I am and I plan to go back and take a good look around. They gave me a very fair price for my guitar and the interest rate is very fair, I'm glad I looked around and found LaFamilia I do not need to go anywhere else I told Bill that I did not even know they were their so I'm am so glad I found them ir your looking to pawn or sell an item or two or more or your just looking to buy some items or Jewelry you really need to make LaFamilia one of your stops you won't be disappointed it is a very nice store and they have a very good selection of different items to satisfy anyone's taste and at very good prices.
