Long review, hope this protects others from being harmed and ripped off. Timeline of events: Jan. 19 2024- First time experience at Light Touch The facialist did not even wash the makeup off my face. I requested extractions, and was advised to go see a dermatologist. The injection process was unlike any other experience I have ever had. The needle was extremely painful, exacerbated by the poor and slow technique of injector. She kept slowly pushing and pulling the needle. I could tell it was dull because it would not slide out of skin easily and was literally pulling my lip as she tried removing the needle. Then she stuck me one more time, and hit a blood vessel. The bleeding was excessive and I could tell she did something wrong. She tried dismissing it saying “oh my youre a bleeder”. Unsure of what was going on, and overwhelmed in pain and now professing bleeding, I was anxious to leave. Vanessa followed me up front and told the front desk girl what to charge me. I paid and left under extreme concern and duress. Within hours, I contacted the business as well as the injector with pictures to show what was happening. I was extremely bruised, swollen, and forming white bumpy lumps on my lip. I was informed that I may have serious damage and may need to dissolve the filler. After a long 24 hours of icing, heating, taking pain meds, and consulting my family doctor, I returned the next day to be examined by a different lady who decided I was probably ok. I was so relieved that I was not going to have to endure any more treatments at this facility, I gladly left. A day later, I saw the charges on my card and realized what I had been charged for- included the additional filler Vanessa charged me for with intentions of injecting my bottom lip to fix the proportion issue. After all I have experienced, I obviously was not about to subject my body to undergo any more treatments by this business. I then emailed the business to request the additional filler I was charged for be refunded, as I would not be returning to that business. I was responded to dismissively, hiding before a standard “refund policy”. I attempted multiple times to remind the person refusing my refund, that this refund was backed off of being victimized by a bad injector and quietly tricked into paying for the filler as I was checking out. Multiple emails followed, with different people refusing to acknowledge the legitimacy of this situation. I requested multiple times to speak with the owner. Little did I know it WAS the owner that was CC’d in the emails was the one denying to refund me. After I grew impatient and expressed my desire to pursue this legally, the owner tried buying more time, claiming I wasn’t giving him able time to “review my file” and told me to pass this over to a lawyer. I reached out multiple other times, giving Justin more than ample opportunity (considering he has been in the know this entire time via emails) to handle this professionally and quietly. After his refusal to refund me or acknowledge intentions of doing so, I have no choice but to pursue this legally and seek full refunds and reparations, as deemed appropriate, considering all facts. My total financial payments to Light Touch is the amount I am seeking. My previous offers to settle this with only being refunded for the product I never got to use has been rescinded in light of the additional legal efforts, cost, and time endured as a result of the owners refusal and negligence to resolve this in a professional and...
Read moreFirst I have to say that making my appointment was a very easy and pleasant experience. I don’t know who reached back to me by text but their communication was consistent and friendly.
I received all my consent forms online. Everything was easy to fill out and submit.
Getting to the plaza is easy but since they changed locations Google defaults to their old building next to Chipotle.
For anyone that knows this plaza well they are now located in the old Ulta Beauty location.
The first thing I noticed is that everything was very open and clean with a simple white esthetic. Seating areas are well placed with a comfortable amount of free space around them. I wasn’t immediately greeted which didn’t bother me, however when I approached the receptionist she was friendly and kindly offered me a seat to wait.
Being the peak of lunch time surprisingly they weren’t super busy but there was a small steady flow of what seemed to be regulars for the most part.
The main door that goes to the client areas is locked with a code entry. I think that’s a nice security feature to have but the door itself does need some tweaking. It slammed shut every time someone would go in and out.
I was finally seen by Melina. She was running a few minutes behind but I didn’t mind because she’s in high demand. Since this was my first full on experience with injectable’s and I’m freaked out by needles, I needed someone with a gentle touch and that knew what they were doing.
I instantly liked Melina, she’s like one of your homegirls. Very down to earth. She’s a fantastic educator and took the time to explain the procedures and answer my questions with no judgement.
When it finally came around to injection time, I’m not gonna lie, I felt those needles. lol But they were quick pokes and she got everything done in minutes.
I really appreciate that she told me about their financing options and a free membership sign up to accumulate points and get discounts on service. I personally don’t feel completely comfortable financing my face like a car. lol But it’s a good option for those that need it. You do need to spend a minimum of $200 to use the financing option. I found that out on my own.
Melina gave me perfect after care instructions and all of her Social Media info for following up and further education.
Checking out at reception was a little bit hairy. I had to use my Groupon voucher first , sign up for their app, then pay the difference out of pocket. She wasn’t able to price match the Groupon which was a little bit of a bummer but she did help me get an extra $10 off and the balance owed was still reasonable.
Just some side notes…..
The bathrooms are nice and clean (added bonus).
There’s plenty of places to park with multiple lots.
They will give you sales pitches but they are short and sweet. No pressure to buy.
I’ll definitely be...
Read moreThe only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because Melina fixed my issue. After a lot of research and reading reviews I decided this location was going to be a perfect fit. I called to schedule an appointment and they set me up with Isis. For two very small lines between the brows Isis stated I needed 42 units, I thought this sounded a bit high since their website states 40 units is full face but it’s my first time so I went with it. This lady never showed me the amount of units she was using or what she was putting in my face and when she applied the units she never felt for muscles or anything. A week goes by and one of the lines looks slightly smoother but that was all. I call in and I explain to the representative that I see no changes and I’m concerned whether Isis used Botox or saline solution as there is no real difference. The representative tells me to come in and they’ll correct the issue. I ask that they schedule me with Melina as I did not like my results with Isis. The experience with Melina was completely different as she seemed to know what she’s doing. She told me she would use 12 units to correct the 2 lines and I purchased 10 more (5 for each corner of my eyes). I get to the front and the receptionist tells me I have to pay for the 12 units they used to correct Isis mistake. I said I’m not paying for those units and I would only pay for the 10 around my eyes as the 12 were to correct Isis’ work. The receptionist comes back and says Melina used 10 units on each eye. I said no she didn’t and I’m only paying for 10 units as she used 5 on each eye and at this point I’m frustrated because I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. The manager comes out from the back and he’s standing behind the receptionist giving me the most disgusted look. I told him, I’m sorry but I feel like I’m being taken advantage of at this point and he comes over and starts talking to me and says Melina should have done a better job explaining how much I would be paying and he got friendlier as our conversation went on. I personally feel that should have been explained while I was scheduling the appointment. Melina’s 12 units did the trick on my forehead. I also got a headache this time and started noticing results within 24 hours which is weird because Isis supposedly injected me with 42 units and there was no headache or results. I’m convinced Isis did not inject me with Botox and that’s the scariest part for me. What did she inject me with? I guess I’ll never know. I will say my experience with Melina was different and she did a great job, I wish she was my...
