We did two excursions on this trip. I would give our banana boat excursion absolutely five stars! JJ was fantastic and we had a spectacular time.

I gave four stars for our parasailing experience, which really I would have given three, but JJ deserves a good review for the banana boat. Everyone involved with parasailing was very professional, and overall it was an ok experience, but it was very rushed. I do not even know the name of the crew on our parasailing trip as we were not ever told.

There was a bit of weather earlier in the day, and I think because of that they were understandably running behind. We were rushed onto the taxi boat without even time to snap a quick picture, then when we transitioned from the taxi boat to the parasail boat no one even said hello or how are you, they just quickly started throwing gear on us and off we went. We were two groups of three, and they took their time with the first group, dipped in the water for fun, but then they quickly reeled in our second group, no dip, and as the next group of passengers showed up on the taxi boat they were so concerned with getting them going that they flung us out of the parasail boat and onto the small taxi boat so fast one of the young girls with us scraped her leg. If it had been too windy to continue I would understand, but it felt as if they just wanted to be done with us and get the other people going as fast as possible.

I certainly appreciate the concern for safety, no question, but if weather was a factor that caused them to run so far behind that they couldn’t offer a good experience I would have rather them cancel the trip. Parasailing is expensive - it was over $600 for our group - so to feel tossed about and hurried just wasn’t worth the cost. It definitely felt like they were far more concerned with quantity over quality. We have parasailed many times and this was probably our least favorite experience. Again, not a horrible experience, but definitely not a five...

The parasailing boat crew and parasailing itself were awesome. The check in staff/process was not. We had 8 people and booked two trips since it would only allow booking of a max of six. Per their website, large groups could call or just book two trips. So, we booked two trips and paid for 11 flyers and 1 observer (one trip 6 flyers, second trip 5 flyers 1 observer). This would have been some people staying on board for two trips, some swapping out at shore since the site allowed an max of 6 to book despite the site saying max 12. Our group consisted of people aged 10-mid 70s. Per their website, the only age requirement is over 5. We all signed our waiver and health forms. Two of us were singled out and asked our ages (two women over 60). We had a male in the group over 60 who was not asked his age although he later volunteered that info. We were told the two women might not be able to fly due to age and that because we had “booked two trips without consulting them first” (the website specifically said we could book two) we would not be refunded for the second trip which would be unnecessary if the two women were not allowed to fly. We were told only the two women would be refunded if they did not allow them to fly due to age. They had no apparent mobility issues and had signed their health waiver. We were eventually told they could fly. One of the women changed her mind upon observing the strength required to board the boat from the banana boat. They did change one flyer rate to observer which helped. We just would not have booked two trips had the website not told us to. Website definitely needs to be updated to reflect actual policies and practices.

Again, captain and boat crew...

We had an absolute blast on our banana boat ride with Captain JJ! From the moment we arrived, his friendly demeanor and infectious enthusiasm set the tone for an unforgettable adventure. Captain JJ made sure we stayed safe using our life jackets and he went over safety protocols, making everyone feel secure and at ease.

Once we hit the water, it was non-stop fun. Captain JJ expertly navigated the boat, giving us thrilling turns and splashes that had us all laughing and cheering. He was incredibly attentive, constantly checking in to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. His warm personality and dedication to our safety made the experience even more enjoyable.

Captain JJ wasn't just a great captain; he also surprised us with his incredible rap skills! His flow was impeccable, and he had us all entertained with his clever lyrics and smooth delivery. We were so impressed that we couldn't help but invite him to our BBQ. Captain JJ, we'd love for you to join us and share more of your amazing raps. Thank you for an unforgettable banana boat ride! The Parasail experience was just the same!...

We had such a great time once we were on the boat! Fantastic experience for my family and myself! Being asked to arrive 30-45 minutes early so we could stand around in the hot sun wasn’t my favorite, and I was extremely upset they wouldn’t let my boyfriend join us due to a hip condition even after we tried to assure her he was fully capable (I understand safety precautions, but after the fact we all agreed that it was gentle enough to be safe for him) Our captain Steve and was awesome, his boat mate Logan was the best! He took great photos of us and even entertained my son and brother with Pokémon conversation! We would definitely go back, just after my boyfriend gets his surgery because he deserved to enjoy that experience with us!

Took my family of 5 parasailing during our family vacation on Miramar beach (Destin). We were able to take our golf cart down close to beach and walk over to where they took us out on a banana boat behind a jetski to the boat with the parasail. The water was a little rough that day by the beach, but no out farther by the boat. We were very impressed with how well they walked us through everything. It was a well oiled machine. They got down to business and got my wife and I up right away and the girls followed. It was so peaceful up there and so glad we did it and we loved the dip on the way back in! Highly recommend these guys.
