I recently visited The Gelatist in Greenville, SC, and it was an absolute delight! Located at 1616 Woodruff Rd, Suite A, this charming gelato shop brings a true taste of Italy to the heart of South Carolina. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. The gelato selection is outstanding, with a wide variety of flavors crafted fresh daily using high-quality ingredients imported from Italy. I tried the pistachio and dark chocolate, and both were incredibly rich, creamy, and bursting with authentic flavor—easily some of the best gelato I’ve ever had. The innovative seasonal options, like pineapple mint, added a refreshing twist that kept me wanting more. Beyond gelato, their menu of crepes, waffles, and pastries, like the decadent Nutella gelato cake, is a treat for any dessert lover. Came here on Sunday night and the line moved quite fast! Once it was our turn to be served, they let us try a couple samples and I chose to get an extra large cup with their pistachio, cherrynut brittle, ferrero rocher, and also their cookies flavor! AND THERE WERE SO. MANY. FLAVORS! They also had a great variety of different types of coffee along with crepes too! They also have a nice pastry case full of different italian desserts too, and i’ll be coming back for those! They even had DAIRY FREE OPTIONS!!! There were water based sorbets which was great, as a friend of mine who came along chose to get this pineapple and ginger flavor and their mango too! They also had this Piña Colada Tiramisu cake, and i was told it was a June special! So many options, and i will tell you, this is REAL authentic gelato.
