Disappointing Experience and Overcharging at Waffle House on Woodruff Rd

Review: As an influencer and frequent diner, I had high hopes for my recent visit to the Waffle House on 1627 Woodruff Rd. However, I left feeling incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience. I ordered 2 breakfast bowls and 2 pecan waffles to go, expecting a total of $23.20 as indicated by the menu. To my surprise, the final bill amounted to $34.80, leaving me feeling ripped off and taken advantage of.

Upon closer inspection of the receipt, I noticed several questionable charges. Firstly, there was an unexpected $2.90 Togo service fee, followed by an additional $2.90 Supply Fee. These fees seemed excessive and unjustified, leaving me questioning their purpose and necessity. Furthermore, I was surprised to find a "BS service tax," as described by the staff, amounting to $5.80. The explanation provided, suggesting it was because most to-go orders don't tip, felt like a weak justification for such an unreasonable charge. Finally, regular tax of $2.15 was added on top of everything else, exacerbating my sense of being overcharged.

To make matters worse, one of the grit bowls I ordered had an unpleasant taste and smell, almost like plastic. The combination of the exorbitant charges and the poor quality of the food left me feeling violated and cheated as a customer. I strongly believe that this type of pricing and billing practices should be subjected to oversight to protect consumers from such unfair trade practices.

Had my food not already been prepared, I would have seriously considered walking out and finding an alternative dining option. As an influencer, I am committed to sharing honest and transparent reviews with my followers, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the Waffle House on Woodruff Rd based on this disappointing experience. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and implements changes to ensure fair pricing, transparency, and improved food quality for their customers.

This is absolutely the worst Family Dollar Store that I have ever been to. There is a particular lady that I enteracted with today. This lady was so rude, and way out-of-line for the way she treated me. First of all, I didn't know that there was a time limit on how long that I could shop in this store. This lady literally told me that I had to get my stuff together and leave bc I had been in the store almost two hours. Wow, really? She actually yelled this at me from the front of the store, while I was closer to the back of the store. So, now after being embarrassed and a bit upset, I picked up my personal belongings and left my grocery cart, exactly where I was, which, mind you, there was probably a good $100 or more dollars worth of products in my cart. My limit today was to try and keep it under $200. So. Now this store has lost this couple hundred dollars that I was planning on spending in this store!! And furthermore, I will not be coming back to this store. I really haven't ever been so disrespected by an employee at any store that I have shopped at in the past, ANYWHERE!!! And not only was I a paying customer, but I also have spent several hundreds of dollars in this chain within the past few months. But, I won't spend another penny in this store as long as this women is working there! Just...

We always have such a good expirience here but tonight was HORRIBLE. Me and my boyfriend went in at 1:26 am and it wasnt to busy at all. Our waitress angel came up to our table and did not greet us and demanded our drink orders. She came back a few minutes later and demanded our food order. Luckily I knew what I wanted but my boyfriend had to pick what he wanted in a matter of 5 seconds. Our food came out and it tasted great ( the cook there is awesome I wish I could give him five stars ) but angel left my boyfriends ham on the counter and the cook brought it to us 10 minutes later ( her fault not his ) and all she had to say was "my bad". She never checked back up on us until we were ready to leave and we never received a refill on our drinkS. She just stood by the counter and cleaned the same spot for 15 minutes. We got to the counter and i had a coupon for a free hashbrown. She got real annoyed and told us "next time tell me before I take your order cuz now i got to re ring you up". But I had the coupon on the table while she took the order but she rushed us through or visit so much we were out of there by 11:47 am. This waffle house is great and the older lady who I believe is a manager is absolutely fantastic but the service tonight was unacceptable. SHE ONLY HAD ONE...
