I went to the Home Depot located off 45 & El Dorado blvd to ask for advice on how to change my soldering iron tip. I tried to do it myself by heating up the needle and using my flat head driver, but unfortunately it was very corroded and wouldn’t budge. I went to this location to get a second opinion, see if they would suggest WD40 or another solution to break up the corrosion. One employee took one look at my iron pencil and said, “This is an Allen Wrench screw. It’s too corroded to fix. We have full units for sale.” I did not dispute the corrosion, but I asked him how could it be a shredded Allen Wrench screw if there’s a flat head screw indentation? He just stuck to his answer as if I was the one who didn’t know what I was talking about. I then asked 3 other employees (curious to hear their response) what kind of screw it was and they all agreed that it was indeed a flat head; not an Allen Wrench. I asked if they carry soldering irons pencils that that use Allen Wrench screws, but of course NONE OF THEM DID. They all used either Phillips or flat head screws. I asked them why they didn’t mentioned anything about pencil replacements, tip replacements, but they had no answer. Again, they tried to sell me full soldering stations. As soon as I said, “I’m not buying this [Ryobi] model because my [Weller] model is AC powered & the Ryobi model requires that you buy a Ryobi battery separate from the soldering station…” they shut down. Moral of the story, don’t go in until you do your homework.

Im leaving this review for Reggie who works in the plumbing department. Reggie was awesome and a lifesaver. The drain in my apartment bathroom was leaking. The maintenance guy for the apartment complex tried to tighten the coupling but broke the pvc pipe and couldn’t fix it. I had company coming and not having a functional sink was not an option. I went to Home Depot and met Reggie. He was already supposed to have left for the day but he stayed an extra couple of minutes to help me. I explained what had happened, showed him the broken piece that I brought with me, and a pic of what under the sink looked like and he literally built the replacement part for me in the store and told me how to install it (pics attached). I was so grateful that I tried to tip him and he refused because of company policy. It’s my hope that someone at Home Depot sees this and does something special for him. Thanks again Reggie

I usually like this Home Depot. Staffs are usually very helpful and efficient. However, I was very disappointed about how they attempted to push away the responsibility and inconsiderate yesterday. Especially the shift manager on 8/19/2021 4:50pm and a customer service employee Mxxx. A word of advice: don't order appliance online. Order from store or no one will be responsible if anything goes wrong. Or, order from Best Buy.

Last Sunday I ordered a chest freezer online to be shipped from this store. I received it the next morning and verified it was DOA in the evening. I called the customer service phone number next morning and was asked to call the store. The store initially told me that they do not pick up defected item and i will have to bring it back myself. Then I got transferred to someone that said they would pick up next day. Next day, nobody showed up so I called, transferred, and wait and wait and finally decided to give up and talk to someone in the store in person. I went to the store next day and the customer service lady didn't know how to handle. She called the manager and manager told her to call .com. We told her that we had called and was told to contact store because the item was shipped from the store (credit card record also showed it was charged by the store) and we asked to talk to the manager. She just kept telling us the manager said to call .com and the manager refused to come talking to us. She then discussed with her coworker, made a few phone calls. We were just standing there waiting for at least 20 min. After she hung up, she just went on to help other customers and completely ignore us! During this time, a line of people waiting for return were just also standing there waiting with us without getting help until someone asked to have manager finding more help. It was as if customers should just wait. Her coworkers that she discussed with finally took over our case and arranged pick up! It wasn't that hard! Now I still have to see if I get the correct...

DOOR AND WINDOW MEASURE AND ORDERING FAILURE: TL; DR: They measured incorrectly for a patio door. It is 3" too short, the door handle is at 32", and they will do nothing to take responsibility and resolve the issue. BE AWARE that THEY DO NOT GUARANTEE their MEASUREMENTS unless they install the door.

This story starts October 2021 when I called to have someone come to my house and measure my patio door for a replacement. A guy came to the house, he measured, and sent the measurements to the Door and Window desk. I paid $1800 for the new door. The expected delivery time was 4 months due to supply chain issues. I never heard back from anyone. 6 months later I called and it turns out it came in a month after I ordered it and they never called. In the intervening months the door was lost at the store. They reordered it and it came within a month. They delivered it and I installed it. To my dismay, the door was too short by 3 inches. The header is clearly well above the door jamb and somehow the guy who measured missed this. They ordered a retrofit door when a full-size door should have been measured for and fit the space. I disputed this with Home Depot. They sent another measurer out who acknowledged that a full-sized door would have fit, but also said that defaulting to a retrofit door size is somewhat standard. I read this as the measurer was simply lazy and didn't take the time to measure the door correctly. I had to repeatedly contact Home Depot to finally get to talk with the managers, who were very reasonable and understood the issue. They simply did not want to take responsibility for it. The result is I have a door that looks too short and has a handle that is below waist level. Unfortunately, I'll be reminded of this debacle each time I reach down to the low handle to...

Today I received the worse service I have ever received at a Home Depot and specifically the Webster location. I frequent this store and generally receive great service and the associates are very helpful and will even say they do not know lets figure this out together. Now my salesperson Cameron was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond to provide assistance and help me with my purchase. After purchasing my items, I proceed to the front of the store to exit. There was a gentleman with a limp that asked me if I purchased the items in my cart. I explained that I paid for them in the department in which I purchased them. He demanded my receipt and I said that is not a Home Depot policy and I do not have to provide it to you. He grabbed my cart and refused to let it go so I could exit. An older male employee decided he was going to block across the front of my cart. To avoid hitting either one of them even slightly I continued to ask them to move. Another employee in the Pro department began to walk that way and the one employee let go and the other moved front the front and I proceeded through the exit. The one with the limp followed me out the store and watched my vehicle as I exited the parking lot as he was on the phone. My guess is to obtain my tag number. I have spoken with the store manager and began a formal complaint. The store manager said he would pull the tape and deal with it. However, this needs to be documented. This is discrimination, profiling, unlawful detainment and disrespect. This type of behavior is also very much...
