Visited this establishment today with my husband food was amazing but the service was horrible😡😲. My husband and I are an interracial couple and the minute we walked in the entire establishment paused...... the silence was deafening not to mention the looks on the people's faces! We were seated 15 min while the only waitress working the floor politely waited on 2 tables that seated after my husband and I. Their orders were taken and drinks were brought. I had to walk to the check out register to ask for someone to please take our order and while I was asking the cashier another female emerged from the kitchen and heard what was going on and said she'd take our order....... which was totally wrong BTW and the young lady who totally ignored my husband and I began to walk out of the kitchen and when asked why she hasn't waited on us she politely replied "I'm not waiting on them.......(long pause) He's black! Really are you kidding me!!!!! Word of mouth travels faster than anything and if ever I am asked about this particular restaurant I will definitely not think twice about placing a filter over my mouth!!! How we were treated today 8-3-2017 was very uncalled for and disgusting! Your restaurant and food was amazing, but your staff and the ignorance they contain and carry on to your floor, around your paying customers can ruin your name. Ohh and by the way just because we are an interracial couple, doesnt mean that just because my husband is black he must be unemployed and have 10 kids and beats on me......lol actually my husband is and has been employed with a very large well known dealership in conway and I own and operate my own business we are happily married and have 2 children ........ Never judge a book by its cover they say........ wishful thinking I'm...
Read moreI’m sorry but i am EXTREMELY disappointed in the trestle bakery! We have lived here for 12 years and have bought cakes, cookies, cannolis, etc from them but our last order was for my 40th birthday was for a full sheet CANNOLI cake. We picked it up on Friday, paid $125 for it and it looked beautiful but by the time we ate the cake around 10 o’clock at night on Saturday, we came to discover that there was no cannoli inside the cake!!! Just whipped cream!!!! We called the Trestle bakery on Monday to let them know what had happened. We don’t get a phone call back so then we call back again on Tuesday and get a hold of the manager. She told us that the baker said they put $50 worth of cannoli in our cake so we sent her pictures of the cake and then she said “from our pictures it honestly looks like it’s not cannoli!” We were told that she needed to speak to the owners and we never get a phone call back. We call again on friday and no response and then we call again the following tuesday and was told that they don’t know what we want them to do about it we should’ve brought the cake back! I had 80 people at my party so I was supposed to tell them “no you can’t have any cake. I have to bring this came back on Monday to show them!” Ummm No!!!!!! They finally offer us 4 cannolis, mind you their mini ones are $1 each and their large ones are $3 each! or a $25 gift card! My husband was the one that was talking to them and took the gift card! This very is poor customer service. We should have gotten at least $50 back or $50 worth of cannolis! I will never go back there so I have a $25 gift card if...
Read moreBeen wanting to try the trestle cafe for lunch for a while now. We arrived shortly before 11 am. A couple of tables occupied, all the rest dirty. We walked to the counter and were told someone would clean a table for us. We took a seat and after a couple of minutes a table was cleared and we were seated. Took quite a while to be greeted by our server. She never introduced herself but seemed friendly. We ordered our drinks, I ordered a sprite with the intentions of giving my baby a sip, bc I would’ve preferred water. The server returned with the drinks plus a to go cup of sprite for my baby. I told her that I didn’t need two sprites and she said well that’s ok you have one to take when you go, so I let it go. We ordered, and the food took more than a half hour to come. In hindsight, I don’t know if she put the order in as soon as we ordered or if the kitchen was that far behind. We had to ask another worker for silverware. We intended to hurry to eat as we had already waited too long for the food and had somewhere to be. The food was good, nothing iconic. Just what you’d expect of a deli style lunch. We attempted to get her attention several times, I finally went and stood at the front to ask for a box and the ticket. When she brought the ticket, I had been charged for two sprites, only had ordered one and got no refills. Then there was an unexpected surcharge for paying with a card. So I needed up paying an extra $6-7 dollars for a drink I didn’t order plus a surprise surcharge on top of an already over priced lunch. I had been excited to try the trestle but we...
