Our Next Chapter Bookstore — Local services in Conway

When a broken wrist from a car accident brought Bob’s 28 year career as a dentist to a close, it opened up the “next chapter” in his and his wife, Lisa’s life. Bringing yet another new business to downtown Conway, the couple set about claiming, refurbishing a former clothes store into a bookstore right on Main Street. Inside one can peruse a selective collection of new releases, best sellers, fiction, non-fiction, children’s, teens and I even noticed a local artist book. Bob and Lisa’s hobbies are reflected in their display of giant Lego sets and 3D puzzles. Even a working Lego lighthouse. The bookstore is an easy walk thru with plenty of room to shop, books to ponder over and even the “official” Book Nook in the back. The Book Nook offers seating and more of Bob and Lisa’s eclectic collection. One will not find used or discounted books, coffee and even some genres are limited so not to compete with neighboring bookstores. But don’t let this persuade you, as Bob and Lisa would love to meet you and it’s always good to buy local. I stumbled upon this awesome bookstore on my first venture to the Downtown Conway Riverwalk area. I was on the hunt for a coffee shop and almost walked passed the little bookshop, but doubled back at the "book lovers come on in" sign. And I am so happy I did! I love every single thing about this place! First off, the book shelves uncannily mirrored my own, only on a much larger scale, and with a lot of books on my current wish list! Secondly, local authors are featured by their books as well as once weekly in person! Thirdly, there is a back room for the monthly (or weekly, I forget) local bookclub meetings. While visiting a friend in Conway I was looking on line for a used book store and came across Our Next Chapter. It was close by so we went to check it out. They don’t have many used books, but I was pleased with the atmosphere. The books are arranged beautifully, and not overwhelming. The owner was friendly and helpful. He had a great variety of books and I liked how they were organized. I bought two books from an author I enjoy as to help small business’s to stay open.
