Big R Farm and Home — Attraction in Cookeville

Beware of damaged items. We have just started shopping in this store 4 weeks ago and have returned every week; shopping 4 weeks now. We have spent at least $100 every week, so a decent customer. I will never be back. Last week we purchase a drink cup for a gift that was $33. There was a display sat up to look at the item and the cups where boxed so no need to think anything would be wrong with it. When it was opened it was discovered that the lid was busted so I offered to exchange it for them since I purchased it again for a gift. I walk in the store and immediately I got an attitude, just asking to exchange it. No I didn't have a receipt but I wasn't asking for money back and didn't expect a damage item. Then was told they could do nothing about it because it was damaged. I explained it was damaged when we purchased it. Again very rude told they could do nothing about it that that was their policy. It was still in the original box with tags. So since this was a gift I purchased her another one to replace their damaged item. When getting back to my car I looked at the receipt to see the return policy. Plainly stated that with no receipt returned items would be given store credit, which would have been just fine. I wanted to replace their damaged item. I was also told it doesn't matter if you have a reviews if it is damaged they will not return only give back store credit. So again...

We visited Big R Farm and Home store yesterday, as we were needing a few items that we were told they carry. We were not disappointed! This is an awesome store, carrying just about everything you could possibly need in the Farm, home, clothing, tools and hardware environment. I can’t think of a single item that they didn’t carry. They also carry everything you could want in the hunting/firearm arena. Their customer service was excellent, everyone greeted us and offered their assistance. They answered all our questions and knew where everything was located in the hugh store. Everything was neat, clean and well organized. Which always makes shopping more pleasant and productive. Most of their prices were better than you’d find at any other Farm or hardware type store. After thinking about it, I didn’t see anything related to Massey Ferguson tractors. But that’s the only thing I didn’t find. When you shop at Big R, you might want to clear your calendar, so you can get the full benefit without...

Wanted to love this store but unfortunately if you care about your animals health you should buy your feed at Tractor supply or somewhere else. Our livestock refuse to eat the feed and our bottle lambs have lost weight and have diarrhea after switching to their product. I was also over charged for a product and when I called to ask why an employee borderline ridiculed me for asking to speak to a manager. I’ve shopped here two or three times and the prices shown on shelves never match the ring up price or they don’t have barcodes and you’re stuck holding everyone up in line while they try to find where the item was on shelf. Save yourself the trouble and money and forget this store. I’ve never dealt with a store that works with farmers like this store and I never will again. If you care about your reputation as a farmer, this is NOT the place to purchase...
