Complcations happen. My story. Iv waited a good while to post my story. I am 6 months post op now and wanted anyone reading this to have a good information when making decisions about surgery . Dr. Johnny Solomon performed Explant with lollypop lift . I had had my implants in for 20 years . I had longed to have them removed for at least 15 of those twenty years. They looked great but just not for me. So my first advice to young girls is maybe just don't do it. I would say probably 70% of my friends who had implants done when they were younger all want them out now. So when a friend of mine had hers removed with Johnny I was paying close attention. She had no complications and results were great so I decided to do it ! Everything went as scheduled in the surgery. I was fine and had minimal pain. I never took any of the pain meds. About a month post surgery my right breast filled with inflammation or Seroma as they call it. The dr immediately had me come in and they had to insert a needle thru the chest area and drain the seroma... yes OUCH :( but even worse is the fact that unfortunately I got used to it. The seroma kept coming back so the draining twice a week became my new norm. From what the dr. explained usually he drains just a few times and it stops but not in my case. After no end in sight he decided to insert a drain that I would need to go home with for a couple weeks. Double OUCH .That procedure I could never get used to. Even though he injected some numbing, it was really painful, and I have a pretty high tolerance for pain. So then 2 weeks with the drain in me and it did not help so it was removed and he went back to draining with the needle weekly. This went on for 4 months.. At this point I was sure I was going to need surgery again. I let the doctor guide me and tried to have faith . After about 4 or 5 months suddenly it did start to dry up and the cavity closed. At this point I was left with alot of scar tissue and one slightly deformed breast. The scar tissue pulls especially when i raise that arm. It is uncomfortable and doesn't look great but at least no more draining . Im still not really sure why this happened but I think it may be from a little bit of that thin lining that was not removed. And I will say that some doctors don't remove it because they feel like that would leave more damage inside. I think they make that decision based on what they see when they go in. So in closing if you ask me would I still have done it had I known all this ...I probably would say yes. I really did not want to have implants inside my body anymore.I just wanted to feel like my natural self . So for me even with the complications It was worth it . Just go into it with the knowledge that these things can happen and even with a great doctor you could find yourself in a similar situation. I really like Dr. Johnny Solomon and I still have hope that maybe that one breast will get better with time. Dr.Solomon has said he has a laser in his office that he says could help, but it's pricy and so we will see. I hope this has been helpful to somebody.Im happy to talk to anyone who has any questions. I wish there would have been somebody out there with a similar issue that I could have talked to....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJohnny has been my primary plastic surgeon for the past 7 years. My journey started back on 2016 when I was searching around for a great reconstructive doctor with vast knowledge and experience who was willing to take up the challenge of correcting a severe case of breast capsules (encapsulation) I had at the time.
He was referred to me by a friend who has gotten a breast augmentation and I totally loved the outcome and aesthetics of that specific job.
I interviewed with him on his NY premises twice before I decided to use him.
His professionalism, state of the art knowledge and kindness not only led me to trust him for my reconstruction but I also opted to revise my rhinoplasty during that very same procedure.
šš½ I was thrilled with the results!!!
Johnny is a true artist of his trait, with an incredible eye, he has wonderful hands.
Fast forward a few years further and when I decided to remove my implants, I of course, counted on him.
Ever since then I have not used any other plastic surgeon to fulfill my needs.
Just recently I had him fat grafted from my abs into my face (I enlarged and re shaped my uneven lips, I enhanced my chin for a more symmetrical look, I filled in my nasolabials folds and glabella as I tend to frown a lot and I am currently in my 40ās). The results are astonishing, I look natural and refreshed. He, once again surpassed my highest expectations.
I have gotten Botox with him as well with amazing results.
Johnny is a very reliable professional, heās always one phone call away.
One of the traits I love about him is that he has walked me through every detail of each single procedure Iāve gotten with him, as to assure we both are on the same page.
I consider his professional opinion greatly (i.e: I recently asked him if he thought we should revise my nose one more time and he said āNO, no need to, it looks very good as it isā), which goes to speak very highly of his ethics.
On the personal side heās a tremendously generous, charming and lovely person that takes pride in helping people like me overcome our insecurities and helps us feel beautiful inside and out.
His staff is top notch, from his personal assistant, to the nurses, the massage therapists, the coordinator and the front desk girls. They are all very friendly and accommodating.
His clinic and medical SPA are so luxurious, by far one of the most modern and hygienic ones Iāve ever been to (note that I have treated myself with some of the top of line plastic surgeons in NY, Beverly Hills, Dominican Republic as well as in Colombia, so you can say I have been around in this field and donāt get easily impressed).
I get facials and post surgery massages at his medical spa as well.
Needless to say I will be using him going forward for any future cosmetics needs of mine.
This review is a testimony on how pleased I am with Dr.Salomon. Iām truly blessed and very thankful šš½ to have found him.
I recommend him with closed eyes.
This is my way of publicly saying THANK YOU Dr. Salomon, you are a walking...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience with Dr. Johnny Salomon has been truly wonderful and joyful, in spite of it being such a major surgeryāespecially on something as important, delicate, and deeply personal as the face, neck, and lips. From the very beginning, Dr. Salomon didnāt just see meāhe heard me. His hands and skills are truly magical and even divine. He understood me on a deep, sincere levelāwhat I was hoping for, what I had been through, and what I truly needed. That kind of understanding is rare, and it made all the difference. Just 24 hours after surgery, even with a lot of swelling, I could already see changes that made me emotional and very happy.
Recovery is challenging, but the care Iāve received has been amazing. I chose to have 24-hour post-op care with Frances, who was referred to me by Dr. Salomonās team. Sheās been working closely with him and his patients for over 20 years, and now I understand why. That level of care is optional, but I highly recommend it. Frances is truly wonderfulādeeply committed, attentive, and incredibly on point. She and her team provided full 24-hour care for the first five days after my surgery, making sure I had my medications on time, applying creams and Arnica, and keeping fresh ice packs going constantly. Her care was consistent, compassionate, and extremely professional. Her entire team reflects that same level of dedication. If you have the chance to include 24-hour daily care with Frances and her team, take itāit truly helped my recovery in every way.
Now just one week laterāDay 7āIām amazed at how little bruising I have. Thereās still swelling, but the bruises are minimal. On top of that, the combination of the lymphatic massages and the oxygen therapy booth has been incredible. Not only do they feel amazing, but theyāve been deeply healing. I could feel the difference every timeāless tension, more circulation, and a real sense of relief. These therapies, paired with Dr. Salomonās skill and the care I received, have made this healing process so much more comfortable, soothing, and effective.
Dr. Salomon has also stayed in touch, calling my nurses directly to check on me. That kind of follow-through means a lot. It shows how much he truly cares about his patientsānot just during surgery, but afterward too.
And even though itās only Day 7, Iām already really excited to see the final results. I know this is just the beginning, and Iām feeling hopeful, supported, and very thankful that I chose Dr. Salomon for...
