Honestly I did not expect much from a 1 star hotel. The only reason I booked this one as I needed a place to sleep at 2am. The room was ok type, not the cleanest but manageable. Most of the stuffs were old and somehow sticking together. They call it "oceanview" hotel but trust me ocean is far away from that place. Check the last picture. Breakfast is a joke. I am not blaiming for "no breakfast being a 1 star hotel but why on earth other hotels also practice this marketing strategy ?.they call it a breakfast and only provide coffee ? The office staff was nice and cooperative. Like I said, it's okay to spend a night for a bachelor. If you want to spend some time there, it's not the ideal place. It's a 3 star from me because of the price. I paid $109 for a night. That's way to expensive for a 1 star hotel.

Stayed a couple of nights while on vacation. The first night, someone stole almost $1000 worth of fishing gear, drinks, food, beach gear, etc from our vehicle. When i went to talk to the front office, they said someone should've been patroling the premises all night. No security cameras at all on the premises. So nothing could be done. Bathrooms are tiny. Blankets had cigarette burns in them. No smoke detectors in rooms just wires hanging from ceiling where they should go. Pool was small & crowded and water was dirty. Within walking distance of North Beach but would not recommend staying especially if you have valuable items as there is no sort of security available. Balconies are available and you can see North Beach from some of them. Only nice staff was housekeeping.

Unfortunately I had to stop here, because we were very tired from the road and it was too late to look for something else. Awful hotel, firstly, the price does not correspond to the declared $ 48, for one night we were charged $ 70, and secondly, it is terribly dirty, mold! I've never met this, cockroaches, clips, towels not washed, only one of the three smelled of chlorine, two were wet and gray, there was vomit on the floor, hair in the bathroom! the girl at the front desk is very rude. In general, I do not recommend anyone to go here! everything is old, but it is necessary to observe elementary cleanliness! terrible disrespect for your customers! there are more decent hotels nearby for this price

I don't know where to start...We arrived at night around 11pm and the young man was nice but not enthusiast about welcoming new guests. He did ok, and he was kind during the check-in process. Then, we got to our rooms and even though the place is old, it had good/comfortable beds...So far, everything was ok. Then, in the restroom, we found small roaches walking all over the tub...yuck! I killed them, and kept myself positive...So we spent the first night, we slept comfortably and we woke up early to be able to see the dawn through the balcony facing the beach. Then, in the restroom again, more tiny roaches walking all over the wall and tub area...that was a complete disappointment, but we said..."oh well, let's take off, and do our planned activities"...So, we went downstairs to have some of the "free breakfast" included...It was 9am, and the lady at the reception office (Hindu, skinny, long hair in a pony tail) was rude, did not say good morning, she seemed to be talking to someone on the phone, she was wearing headphones, and then she walked toward the breakfast area and started putting all breakfast items away in an aggressive and rude manner. This lady never asked if we wanted anything before she put everything away, and did not answer to our "good mornings" some of my friends were Spanish speaking tourists, and she simply ignored them completely, making them feel unwelcomed and discriminated. I was shocked for her attitude, her lack of customer service was unbelievable! It's not our fault that she has something against Hispanics, she was nice to other Anglo Americans that walked in before us though. Her attitude was so un-American, unethical, and uncalled for. Then, our second night stay happened, and again tiny roaches walking all over the tub and restroom floor...We were disgusted by this and we even found a live roach in the refrigerator. I would not recommend this old place full of roaches, with a joke for breakfast including coffee and cold cereal only, rude receptionist (who surprisingly had a slightly better attitude the next morning), and no elevator for older adults. How unfortunate that this place has a nice location close to the beach with still beach view (there will be construction blocking this very soon)...I would definitely NOT recommend this place due to the mentioned issues found (roaches, poor breakfast, bad customer service). The positive aspects include the view, the swimming pool and the distance to the beach, convenience store and...

I usually read reviews and I think I did on this one, but I must've been reading between the lines when the reviews said it was not that great. Maybe my desire to be on the beach colored my decision. Worst place we stayed on our whole 2 month trip. We were on the third floor with a nice view of the beach. But there was no elevator and the outside stairs were narrow and kind of creaky. A million coats of paint could not hide how badly this place needs to be demolished and a new hotel built. The location is amazing with a cool view of the USS Lexington and the beach and other fun attractions. But the room was old, old, old with a very old and not so clean bathroom, the door barely locked and was coming off it's hinges. The smoke alarm was hanging by one wire. The curtain on the slider didn't work and the balcony was beyond gross. I wouldn't walk out there with bare feet. The king bed was good, surprisingly. The breakfast was a joke - cold cereal and coffee - that's it. The very nice receptionist said she had to work two jobs at two different hotels to make ends meet, so I'm not criticizing that but the other people at the desk during the 2 nights we were there were less than motivated to be friendly or helpful. Please, tear this place down and start over. At $110 a night, it was one of the more expensive places we stayed but in the worst condition. This place was no bargain and really a sad representation of what Corpus Christi...

Cons: Vent under sink had cover coming off which had a hole exposed The bathroom curtain was ripped on side The bathroom still had hair on tub wall from person before us (hint the rooms are not being cleaned properly) The toilet lid looked like someone took a lighter to it Carpet that lined the boarder by the door was hanging off The pillows are not pillows, they are so flat that you might want to bring your own or buy travel pillows They had 2 big pieces of plywood boards on the balcony leaning against the wall and it looked like rat poo between the wall and board and lets just say it was a lot of it. The balcony had beer bottles from the people from before us which is how you know they arent cleaning rooms like they should They came and "cleaned" our room while we were out and those same red hairs in the tub were still there from the previous person(s), the beer bottle was still there on balcony as well smh so you know they arent cleaning correctly

Pros: USS Lexington, Aquarium and beach are all in walking distance Plenty of restaurants in walking distance Swimming Pool Cable Tv

Pricing for us for 2 nights $175, i will not be putting my family back at this place on our next visit. If it wasnt for how late we made it to the room i would have went some where else and the fact that our room was already paid for for those 2 nights and it was non-refundable. This place would be a great hotel if they would fix...
