If you’re looking for jewelry making supplies, stone or glass beads then this is definitely a great shop to go to with high volume of selection of variety that is, shapes though are very basic round or oval mostly, or raw tumbled (stones that is) . HOWEVER: you’re not allowed 🚫 to touch any of the stone strands even though they’re fully accessible on the stores floor, with signs clearly posted saying ‘Don’t touch, we’ll assist you with the strands’ or something to that affect basically insinuating that you’re going to steal them if you have any interest in them, and if somehow that’s not the message their trying to portray just the simple fact that you immediately feel like you’re being treated as a child and cannot handle handling their stone strands is quite unnecessary and inconsiderate in my opinion. I’ve been to some very high end up-scale bead stores i.e the bead shop, spearit etc. all of which have MUCH more selection and shape of stone and glass beads (evidently priced way way wayyyy higher as well) always accessible and on the stores floor for the public. I would have bought many strands had I been able to physically myself pick the ones I wanted instead of having to be assisted and feeling like I did something I simply didn’t and never have had intention to, because their prices are very fair however due to the facts stated above I will not visit this store again. There’s plenty of other bead shops who don’t undermine your intentions or...
Read moreBeing someone who works in customer service I understand how hard it can be to always keep a happy face when people are pushing your buttons. But my experience here last Friday has bothered me so much that now 4 days later I feel like I need to leave a review. The person who helped me was rude as soon as I walked in and then was extremely rude during my check out experience. This is totally my fault, but I didn’t realize how fast beads add up and after seeing my total I expressed I needed to re evaluate how many beads I was getting and profusely apologized cuz I felt really really bad she had just counted everything and I couldn’t afford it. How she treated me though was so not ok. Slammed my tray on the counter, glared at me, heavily sighing out of frustration, and just extremely rude. I totally get it was frustrating, but that doesn’t excuse behavior like that especially when I apologized and was nothing but nice to this person. There is a bead store down by the old world deli, and the lady who runs that store was extremely kind and I highly encourage you to consider shopping there if you’re looking for...
Read moreWonderful shop!!! It is great to have one of these shops in Corvallis. It reminds me of one of those metaphysical/head shops from the 1970s with lots of cool stuff: Beads, Buddhas, Incense, Jewelry, etc. I would ignore all the troll reviews on here who complain about the uptight customer service. I worked retail for many years running an antique shop, and the shop lifters were insane. It would put anyone on edge who had to deal with all that stealing. People in baby strollers using their kids as props so that they can steal, people sidetracking you with superficial conversations, while their partner load up their coats or backpacks. Especially, in these current times, I would guess that it is much worse. All and all, this is a great curio shop to check out, and, maybe get a gift for someone or...
