If I could give this hotel zero stars. I would. I had recently stayed at Red Roof Inn (Cranberry Township, PA) location. I always stay at Red Roof Inn for trips and I have stayed at this particular location since 2010; recommending family and friends too to stay here which they have. As it is reputable, affordable, the cleanliness, the standard is overall very exceptional and etc. However, to the contrary my recent stay has been the worst experience I have encountered with a Red Roof Inn property. The first thing I had noticed is as soon as I entered the room, the room smelled of urine, I believe the washroom was not cleaned for a long time hence resulting in this unbearable smell. Secondly, I had noticed that the pillowcases had not been changed instead the pillow was flipped on the other side, when I had turned the pillow to rearrange the bed I had noticed strands of hair (see attached images). In addition to this, the bedding had not been washed/in the laundry; I think it also hasn't been changed for a while as there was a stain on the bedding (see attached image). Lastly, the property boasts that it has cable tv and wifi facilities; however absolutely not even a single channel worked on the television not even the news channel (please see attached images). The Wi-Fi was on an unsecure network, which appears would result in important information being compromised. Upon speaking with the front service desk staff, it appears that there is new franchise owner as of last November/December which may be a reason for all these issues. Overall, this is my last experience staying at Red Roof Inn, as it very negatively impacted my opinion on the hotel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! If you take some time to read some of the reviews on here some have reiterated the same issues which I have encountered
I also contacted RedRoofInn customer service, and they have ignored my concern, and said that they can not provide a resolution to this concern. Absolute garbage company and garbage guest relations. Honestly, avoid this place at all costs, this is coming from someone who stayed at RedRoof Inn religiously since 2010
THERE IS A COMFORT INN in Cranberry Township I highly encourage you to go stay there! It is a bit on the pricier side They serve breakfast and they are...
Read moreThe only decent thing was the bed, but it was just OK. The king bed only had 3 pillows, one of which was covered in hair when we arrived. The room smelled like wet dogs and had dust everywhere. There are what one could only assume are bodily fluids on the wall by the bed as well as the wall behind the door. Add to it dust and general grime like the room hadn't had a good cleaning in awhile. I used a rag in the room to wipe things down just so it felt a little cleaner. There's mildew on the floor between the tub and toilet and the AC know kind of works but requires some maneuvering as the knob doesnt line up with the words. The filter was literally broken inside the unit, which I normally clean upon arrival because they're often forgotten. The girl at the desk when we checked in was friendly, but seemed a little annoyed when I asked for a replacement pillow. I didn't want to ask for another room because I assumed they were all dirty like ours.
Family checked in the following night so that we can stay together and their superior room was perfectly fine. They had a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. So clearly cleaning preference goes to those rooms... or we just got stuck with the crummiest room. Mitch, the hotel manager, was a little rude for their check-in due to the room being paid for by family. He required we drive 30 minutes out of the way to get the card - even though it wasn't required the night before. He basically said we would charge back on the card if it wasn't swiped. But didn't require ID, so not really sure why it was a big deal for an online reservation.
Overall, if you just need a room while you're passing through it's okay for the price, but splurge on the superior room. If you're going to be staying longer, I'd choose...
Read moreAbsolutely not!!! The ONLY positive was the great location. Drive to the location, and find another hotel in the area! If I could give negative reviews I absolutely would. Upon check-in, we didn't even unpack our bags. I was traveling with two children and my daughter cried and begged to go somewhere else. The room was filthy! The sheets were not clean, there was mold on the A/C box. It was terrible. I went to the front desk and told them my complaints, my main issue being mold since my daughter and I have health issues and are not able to be around mold. The receptionist only offered to change the sheets!!! I repeated.... there is mold.... she never offered another room. She said housekeeping could change the sheets. I returned the key to her and told her we were not checking in, I was leaving. I asked how should go about a refund she promised manager would call me the following day. He did not. Instead when I returned to my hometown the front desk called MONDAY to make sure I had checked out of the room. I told her I never stayed and told her I was waiting on a callback. She told me again, the manager was out but would call later that day..... I called for weeks, they eventually stopped answering all together! I disputed with my bank.... It took 3 months!!! Spend a little more money for...
